As you well know by now, I am a big fan of shoes. I don’t consider myself as especially girly in most ways, but I am an absolute sucker for shoes and shopping in general — I am very much a typical girl in that sense.
I am lucky in that I have size 5 feet. It’s easy to get shoes in my size as every where sells size 5s, the only downside of having common sized feet however is that they are always the first size to sell out — especially when there’s a sale on I know if I want any thing I need to get in fast!
How about women with big feet though? It must be so annoying to have bigger than average feet and need to go get your shoes in ‘specialist shoe shops’ that think having big feet means you have no taste. I’d hate to not be able to just walk into any shoe shop and pick up what ever I wanted.
SamantaShoes.com seems like the place to be for ladies in such a position, they sell Size 12 womens shoes that are gorgeous, luxurious and comfortable — no having to settle for whatever you can get any more.
They also sell regular sized shoes, now I just have to resist the urge to buy even more for myself.

What a let down they were, you can usually rely on the Christmas soaps to provide some decent viewing…but what did we get this year?
Victoria falls through some ice. Maria throws some paint on Tonys car. Susie leaves the square.
Big whoop.
I suppose the ‘Sean is not the daddy’ storyline was OK but how predictable, Sean wakes up and announces he’s so happy and it’s going to be the best Christmas ever and you know it’s all about to go Pete Tong.
Stupidest moments? Sean randomly asking Jack if he is the daddy, because he just happened to be there at that point…and what do you know, Jack is the daddy and Sean works this out from his reaction. Duurrrr.
Also the fact that five people were quite happy to be running around and jumping on the frozen lake in Emmerdale, but then suddenly when Victoria threw the necklace on it everyone was freaking out and calling her an idiot and crawling along the ice to try and get it back!
Over all the Christmas soaps this year only score a 5/10!

I don’t drive myself, because I am a complete disaster at it — I took driving lessons when I was 18 and it didn’t work out too well, but I will save that tale for another time
My other half does the driving in this relationship, and he’d had the same old clapped out peugeot the whole time we had been together, but last year he finally decided to splash out and get a new car. Obviously he needed to take out a Car Loan in order to be able to afford his lovely brand new car. He did an awful lot of research before deciding which loan to go with because obviously it’s a huge commitment and we were both nervous about. He’s been happy with his decision so far so it’s all good
You should check out Autonet if you need insurance for any of your vehicles, they offer really competitively priced car and motorbike insurance and if you go by customer recommendations then you really can’t go wrong with these guys.
One of the upsides of not driving myself though is that I get to leave that part to the other half, he’s much better at that sort of thing than me because I get bored too quickly!

Another show I love to watch late at night on those obscure cable channels is ‘Spendaholics’, because I am so sickeningly sensible with my own money it always amazes me to see some of people on that show and how they deal with their own finances.
If you earn £300 a week, and spend £500 a week on handbags and eating out in nice restaurants, you are going to find yourself in debt. Duh.
It also amazes me how difficult they find it to tighten the belt once they realise they need to.

Just got back from a half price sale at Matalan, picked up a few bits for me and was looking out for some good name boots such as Rocky Boots for my dad to wear while walking or working out in the garden — my mum had tried to get him some for Christmas but could find any that he’d like for a reasonable price.
Finally I saw some that looked like they’d do the job, a nice pair of grey regatta boots, big and sturdy but not steal toe capped — they didn’t have a price on them, of course not that’s typical…I looked and looked and looked and found a few rogue labels for something that was £30, meaning they would be just £15 in the sale but there was no way to know for sure if they’d be them or not.
We decided to just take them to the til and try our look but of course, being boxing day and a half price sale things were busy busy busy, several times we decided to just forget it, but then changed our minds and decided they would so be worth the wait if they were £15.
Gosh knows how long we queued for but when we eventually got there they rang through at…£45…OK then, just my luck that they are about the only thing in the whole store not in the half price sale! Ugh.
Oh well. I will just have to get some from CopShoes.com, I hear they have awesome customer services who are on hand from 8 until late every day

Neighbours was cracking me up last week. Along with an updated title sequence that gives away several future story lines (You put Toadie with Callum and Nicola…we know it doesn’t work out with him and Steph, duh!), we were introduced to a new set — The Gym — nothing funny about that, what is funny is the amount of times it got used.
On Friday Libby was there on three separate occasions in just one episode. Suddenly and inexplicably the students of Erinsborough High have started having their PE classes there. Bridget got a job there, which is a great excuse to have Steve, Miranda and Declan popping along every five minutes and I am sure that Dan actually lives there.
Ok Ok we get that it cost you money to build a new set, but come on now, I am already sick of the sight of it!

I have thought about this in the past. My aunt had liposuction a few years ago — I could hardly notice the difference in how she looked and she already put all the weight back on and then some, so she’s not a poster girl for reasons to get it done. But then she was one of the many people who seem to think that it’s a miracle cure…get some liposuction and be thin for life, it doesn’t work like that and I know it — you still have to work on your body and diet for life!
Honestly I don’t think I’d ever actually get liposuction, but I may be tempted if I were to ever win the lottery — just to see if it would make a huge difference or not
It’d certainly be nice to get that ‘boost’, I have been stuck within the same weight range for around 6 months now despite working out and eating right.
At least I would know where to go if I did decide to get it done, mya.co.uk are industry leaders in liposuction surgery uk and I would feel confident with them, plus I love the name of the site…mya, standing for Make Yorself Amazing

Oooh, after I posted about The X Factor revealing all the voting percentages over the whole season, I realised they have also done the same thing for the recently ended I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!
I love love love looking at these and I hope that it’s a sign of things to come and that not only ITV but all channels would start doing the same.
I’d most love to see how the voting on Big Brother breaks down, rumours are that during Big Brother 9 only around 1.2million votes were cast in total. When you consider that 7 million voted in the final of Big Brother 3 alone…well that’s quite something.
Reveal your results people, we want to see them!

I was thinking about chat rooms today, gosh that brought back memories. I have not been near a chat room in several years, but that’s how I started out online — it’s where I met my now husband to be back in 1999. My first foray into the online world was on the Dreamcast, it didn’t even have a browser, a harddrive, anything. It was basically a games console so you could do two things on it online, play games or go into the chatroom! Once I got a PC I never really went back into chatrooms, forums are my preferred way to interact with like minded folks.
These days you can find millions of chatrooms, many on specific topics or for specific people…such as TV shows, celebrities…or golfers and there’s even Christian Chat Rooms!
You name it, there’s a place for you to chat with a specific group of people…I wonder if I could find a room for British reality TV loving cheese fans? Hmmm.
