When I was a kid my uncle owned a bed store and my mum worked there as manager, that meant that I spend many a school holiday hanging around the place and I have some great memories from those days — from creating little play houses under the beds, to playing cards inside cupboards and snuggling up with the life sized Silentnight Hippo they had, I loved that thing.
When the Husband to Be and I move into our new place next month we will need a new bed — I think that we are getting one from a friend of his, but if that falls through then I would definitely be buying one from Silentnight, they are a really well known and trusted name

Sorry for not blogging for a few days, I was suffering with a cold all last week so didn’t feel much like being online at all…never mind blogging.
I spent the week in bed with some TV, it was a great week to be sick TV wise at least — what with so many American shows coming back on air — Survivor, The Amazing Race, Prison Break, Smallville, Heroes…the list goes on. I also managed to get through some films I have been meaning to watch for ages — Juno, Sweeny Todd, Hellboy and Superbad!
Indeed, there are worse times to get ill…I am almost sorry I am better

A friend of mine wanted me to help out a friend of hers with a website recently, I didn’t really want to to be honest because I am not a web designer — she seems to think that because I know how to do some things I must know how to do every thing but that is so not how it works.
Setting up wordpress blogs? Yeah no problem.
Setting up an ecommerce site? I don’t have a clue.
I asked her to find out what sort of site he wanted and to let me know before I agreed to any thing and she never got back to me. Excellent, I hope it stays that way.
It did get me thinking that I really should learn how to do these things though, why not if people are willing to pay if it means not having to do the work themselves?
So I looked up shopping cart software and the like that are needed for setting up online stores and came across the AmeriCommerce software which seems pretty popular and has good reviews.
I am going to have a play with it myself over the next few days, even though I don’t plan to do anything with it, just so that if a situation like this comes up again I can feel confident enough to say yes!

It’s official, if you didn’t cry at the end of last weeks Biggest Loser USA then you have no heart — seriously.
I am not much of a crier at the telly, especially not reality shows. But it got me, it got me good.
When the silver team weighed in and lost less than 1% I thought, OK job done, that’s it, who ever she falls under with is safe and it’s bye bye to the lazy one that make Bob angry.
Then Orange and White weighed in and we all realised, they were the ones below the yellow line. It was time to say goodbye to either the desperately ill and adorable old dude looking for a last chance at life or the fattest kid to ever be on the show who is equally as lovable.
What to do, what to do? It seems that the losers felt the same way given the amount of impassioned speeches and wet eyes.
In the end it was curtains for the old dude, sad times.
But I was thrilled to see he had done so great at home with 80lbs already lost.
Go Jerry, Go Jerry, Go Jerry.

I move into my new place in exactly four weeks from today, how much am I freaking out on a scale of one to ten? Hmm…nine I’d say.
Mainly because I have only seen pictures of the new place so far, crazy right? But it’s half way across the country and I have not had the chance to get down there yet. The Hubby to be has seen it and given it the thumbs up though, so I guess I just have to trust his judgement, eeps.
I can’t wait to get in there and get decorating. I already have a lot of the furniture and design picked out and set in stone, but there are also several areas I don’t have a clue about yet — the kitchen needs completely redoing, I need to look for every thing from cutlery to kitchen sinks, the oven is the only thing in there we don’t need to get or replace.
I am so excited though, even though it is very stressful. I have been waiting for this day for years and I am going to enjoy every moment of kitting out my new home. I imagine I will probably be sad when it is all done and will then have the urge to move again hehe
