Yeah, it was OK.
I am not sure it’s going to become one of my all time firm favourites but I am looking forward to seeing how it pans out.
I will admit that I was very slow on the uptake of ‘getting it’ a lot of times, it wasn’t until about half way through I understood the opening scenes and I still don’t understand the ending scenes where someone was watching a video of her surrounded by dead bodies. But that’s OK.
Like I say, looking forward to seeing how it pans out

Remember the Big Brother house of old? It used to be surrounded by big metal fences to block out the world…and keep the inmates in. Well, it tried to any way — remember the days of innocence when Jack Dee managed to ‘escape’ for a few hours one night? Fun times, I miss those innocent days — I think they should get a new aluminum fence installation around the house, the barbed wire just doesn’t look the same.

Seriously — on The Biggest Loser when a team has immunity they water load, that is before they weigh in they drink several litres of water in order to artificially increase their weight, so that the next week when they weigh in and it matters they will show a bigger number. We as viewers know that. The producers of the show know that. The trainers know that. The contestants know that.
Why do we have to go through the rigmarole of all the shocked faces and exclamations of;
“I don’t know how that happened, I worked so hard this week!”
A la the purple team this week, a la the blue team last week.
We don’t need to see them on the scales shaking their heads, we don’t need to see Bob and Jillian with their mouths gaping open. We all know what’s gone on.
Personally I would like to see them come up with a way to stamp it out completely, but how would they achieve that? I am not sure, and I don’t think they are either which is why it still goes on and has become so normal to the contestants — but I hate the way they try and hide it, or brush it under the carpet, or hope that the viewers are so stupid they don’t realise what is going on.
We all see it, it’s called Water Loading.
