Grown fond of Yellow…

amanda…sad to see the Yellow team below the yellow line a long with the Purple team this week on The Biggest Loser Australia. I have grown rather fond of them, which is surprising because they were probably my least favourite couple to begin with.

I think them going home is a cert, Sruart and Amanda are a huge threat to every one but Amanada also ‘needs’ to be there the most and the whole house seems to worship her, plus the cynic in me says the producers will see to it that they stay, I don’t think they will be ready to wave goodbye to the biggest ever female on the show any where in the world just yet. She’s got a whole lot more journeying to do first.

Will have to wait and see, the episode airs in around six hours, hurrah.

Colleen, I am over you!

colleenActually, I was never really under her — she’s one of those characters that the whole country seems to have fallen in love with and can do no wrong, but who gets right on my bloody nerves.

Christopher Biggins is another example of such a character.

Oh Isn’t she funny, people profess. Oh isn’t she lovely, they say.

Well no, no she isn’t. She’s moany, miserable and her need to constantly go on about her age is obnoxious.

I am ready for her time to be up on Dancing On Ice, come on now, she’s had her day. Let the skaters with actual talent progress. Kthnx.

Still wishing Tara would shut up.

biggestloserSomeone asked me the other day why I am ‘Sooo 1999′ when it comes to The Biggest Loser, after they had explained to me what the heck the meant by that — I understood they were asking me why I don’t usually post about the episode that airs on a Tuesday night until the following weekend.

Well it’s quite simple really. Because I don’t watch it until the weekend, duh.

I am a Biggest Loser junkie as you know, the Australian version is on six days a week currently — every day except Saturday, so as to avoid having a day when I don’t get to see an episode of The Biggest Loser I save the US version for Saturdays and then blog about it either that night or the following day.

So there.

Nothing much to say about this weeks episode though. Tara and her superior attitude continues to annoy me, even the voice over guy was in on the action this week asking ‘Will her partner let her down again?‘. Get over yourself woman, if you were all that you wouldn’t be overweight in the first place.

Editors need a lesson in subtlety, I knew Pink were falling below the line as soon as they showed us them confidently saying they’d be ‘Fine’ this week several times…come on now, we know that means the opposite is going to happen.

Finally, as much as I like brown I did want to see them fall below the yellow line this week, only because I wanted to see if Jillians crew would stay good to their word of voting off the person who wants to go home (dad) rather than the biggest threat (son), some how I don’t think so.

Big up the gingers!

rexI think I may have a bit of a thing for redheads, my first boyfriend was a ginger, my ex boyfriend was a ginger, my best friend is, my brother is and as much as he tried to deny it (why? why? be proud of the flames boy!) my favourite ever Big Brother housemate was a ginger — I am talking about you, Sexy Rexy Newmark.

Randomly I came across a social networking site especially for Redheads at Redhedd.com — it’s for use not only by fellow redheads to socialise and chat, but is also open to redhead appreciators such as myself :)

You’re not Libby!!

libbyImagine my surprise a few days ago when tuning in for my daily dose of Neighbours, only to see a strange woman in place of Libby Kennedy — who is she and why is she pretending to be Libby?

At first I thought I was either drunk or still sleeping, but no, they really did just change the actress who plays her without warning. Scary!

Well except there was a warning, at the start of the episode there was a little addon to note that; ‘In this episode the part of Libby Kennedy will be played by Betty Bob*’ — only I always fast forward that part so I didn’t hear it, that’ll learn me.

Google reliably informs me that the actress who usually plays the Libster got a bad case of pneumonia very suddenly and it was too late to write her out of the story lines for a few months (she has a wedding coming up don’t you know!) so they made the decision to just replace her temporarily.

Fair enough.

* Not the actress’ actual name, it’s something much more normal than that, I just don’t remember it off hand.

PC World

forumYou know what I hate? It’s hard to find good forums to discuss reality TV on, hence part of the reason I have this blog — every thing is so bloomin PC these days that you can’t say any thing even remotely controversial without getting people report your posts or moderators slap you down for it.

I just joined some political chat rooms at ArgueWithEveryone.com, the site is very liberally moderated so hopefully I will be able to get into a good debate or two over there :)

Dollhouse was…OK

dollhouseYeah, it was OK.

I am not sure it’s going to become one of my all time firm favourites but I am looking forward to seeing how it pans out.

I will admit that I was very slow on the uptake of ‘getting it’ a lot of times, it wasn’t until about half way through I understood the opening scenes and I still don’t understand the ending scenes where someone was watching a video of her surrounded by dead bodies. But that’s OK.

Like I say, looking forward to seeing how it pans out :)

Big Brother days of innocence

bbeyeRemember the Big Brother house of old? It used to be surrounded by big metal fences to block out the world…and keep the inmates in. Well, it tried to any way — remember the days of innocence when Jack Dee managed to ‘escape’ for a few hours one night? Fun times, I miss those innocent days — I think they should get a new aluminum fence installation around the house, the barbed wire just doesn’t look the same.
