I was on bidz.com a while ago looking to see if they had any killer jewellery bargains. A few days ago as I was getting my daily dose of the lovely Scott Mills on Radio 1, they were talking about a website called ex boyfriend jewellery, which as the name suggests is a site where people sell old or unwanted jewellery from exes — what made it discussion worthy and hilarious was that a lot of the item descriptions are hysterical, because a lot of the people posting are clearly still very angry, upset and bitter.

The descriptions range from “We broke up so I don’t want to wear it any more” to much more elaborate tales and every thing he ever did wrong and how this was the only expensive thing they ever bought them etc.

I didn’t want to actually buy any items from the site, call me superstitious or…whatever…but I don’t want other peoples caste offs from bad relationships. Bad karma baby.

But it did prompt me to see if there were any other auction style sites I could get some affordable pieces — hence my eventual arrival at Bidz.com earlier on tonight.
