Watching Movies Online

It’s very useful that you can Watch movies online these days, because I do love to Watch movies but tend to find myself being too unmotivated to go to the cinema or rent them — I rarely think movies sound good from synopsis so I never know which to choose and usually decide not to bother.

When they are so easily accessible it’s so much easier to just load one up and start watching it, and hey if it’s not floating my boat 30 minutes into it I can always stop watching and try something else!

Isn’t the Internet a wonderful place :)

DecorPlanet.com

My parents are redecorating the kitchen at the moment and boy did it ever need doing, I don’t think they have done any thing with it since the 1970s, and I wish I were joking for dramatic effect but that is not the case. I have just been looking for bath vanity related items as them doing that prompted me to get the heck on with redecorating my bathroom, which to be honest also looks like it has not had any attention since the 1970s.

I am hoping to be able to get a whole new suite, toilet, bath, shower unit and sink — but this might not be possible as money is tight at the moment, but even if not I will still be decorating and making it look gorgeous with new paint and tiles on the walls, new fixtures and fittings and new flooring. I already have the colour scheme I want in my head and am itching to get started. Just have to nag the husband to be to make a decision on a few things and then we will be heading to DecorPlant.com to start making the purchases we need to get started.

In fact I am going to stop blogging now and go get nagging :)

Smell this!

I am so into smelly stuff — and by smelly stuff I don’t mean just any thing that smells in general, I mean the gorgeous smelly goodness that comes in the form of perfumes and soaps and shampoos. I am a complete sucker for the products of places like Simple Scents, I spend half my life on SimpleScents.com looking at what new products they have on offer.

OK OK maybe not literally half my life, but I do check in at least once a week and most of the time they do have new stock, which is nice, because certain other stores tend to have the same things every time I check and that makes me sad :(

sheabutterTheir range of soap bars in awesome because not only do they smell delicious, they are also really good for your skin — acting as natural moisturisers and containing things like shea butter and essential oils. Their products also tend to last, most of these smellies smell nice when you are using them and maybe for a little while afterwards but the smell still fades fast, boo…I want to smell like shea butter all day long, not just for a few hours…so hurrah for long lasting smelling soaps!

From hero to zero

kristin-steedeKristin was the only person left on The Biggest Loser USA that I liked. As I have previously mentioned this season and the awful bunch of whinging contestants have been my least favourite ever so when Kristen fell below the line and it was perfectly obvious she would be leaving I was sad…I was hoping she’d find a way out of it…I was wondering what the point in me watching the rest of the season was.

Skip to a mere five minutes later and I have already completely changed my mind. All this sanctimonious nonsense about how much she deserves to be there and how Mikes vote will prove if he is in it for the money or for the weight loss.

What?

Huh?

Seriously?

How many times did you gain weight this season Kristin, was this your 3rd time? You had two bad weeks in a row — you were spared last week, you don’t deserve to be there any more than any one else. Get over yourself.

How does Mike knocking out the biggest threat to him winning prove he’s only there for the money? It proves he wants to win just like you and every one else does, not that he’s only there for the money.

Crawling to Ron and reminding him of a promise he made to her mother and expecting him to convince his son to keep her around is ridiculous. She’s been waxing lyrical for weeks about how Ron will do anything to help Mike win it, she should have known that includes getting rid of his biggest threat, duh.

When the decision is made it’s time to go out with some dignity, it’s done, it’s not going to change — keep your nonsense opinions about how weak Mike was to yourself you great big hypocrite — do we need to go back over your votes throughout the season to remind you of the times you knocked out your biggest threat?

By the end I was thrilled that she was getting eliminated, I would have been furious if Mike had not voted for her.

In other news, much like my feelings on Sione becoming a personal trainer I don’t believe Kristin should be giving motivational speeches to groups of people. Losing the weight she did was no doubt hard as hell, but that’s nothing, 90% of people could do the same thing if they were on The Biggest Loser and lasted 16 weeks — shifting the other 100+ pounds she needs to get rid of and keeping it off is where the challenge is at — once she’s done that, that is when she can start preaching to others imho

Photography Reality Show

canonThere should be one, is there one? Not that I can think of.

There’s fashion design shows, weight loss shows, modelling shows, dancing shows, singing shows. Why not a Photography one?

It would follow the same format we are used to, each week the budding photographers take their Canon camera and snap something that meets a brief, they get judged by a panel of experts and the one deemed the worst gets sent home.

FUN!

Vegas Baby!

caesars_extWatching the episode of Hell’s Kitchen from a few weeks ago last night (Yes, I have got rather behind with it, oops) where they visited Borgata, the place that they will have their restaurant should they be crowned the winner by Gordan Ramsey, really made me want to go looking for a cheap flight to book and Vegas Hotels to stay in! Yes, I am aware that Borgata is in Atlantic City and not Las Vegas, but it looks like a typical super huge, shopping filled, gambling filled, luxury filled hotel that I completely associate with Vegas in my head.

I have always wanted to visit a super hotel like that, I love hotels in general but those things are more like little cities in themselves. I have never made it to one though, we simply don’t have things like that here in the UK and I have never been lucky enough to visit the USA. It is on my wishlist of places to visit, along with many other places.

Just looking through some of the hotels now on BestOfVegas.com, why must I torture myself? I think the hotel I would most like to stay in would be Caesars Palace as it is just such a well known one, every one has heard of it or seen it in the movies etc and it just looks immense, they have every thing from a shopping mall and gym to a golf course and swimming pool. Bliss.

I would also love to go golfing while there as well as visit the shark reef aquarium — I have also been thinking it’d be cool to go bungee jumping or sky diving recently but don’t think I would dare, so the indoor skydiving at the Convention Center might just be the ideal solution!

I wanna go now *sulk*

I call shenanigans

On the escalator challenge on The Biggest Loser Australia a few days ago, can it really be a coincidence that they fell out of the challenge in the order the producers had placed them in on the escalator? Hmm.

We have seen this challenge before on other seasons of both the USA and Australian shows, but they usually only have a few people per elevator and they are bigger — they had five people crammed onto a really small one here where they had to remain within a really small looking roped off area — basically if any one that was placed higher up than others were to go out, they’d take the ones behind them with them as there was simply not enough room to pass them safely.

Basically there’s no way the producers hadn’t worked out who would last the longest…this makes me go back and think about all the other challenges and the placements of people, the prizes that came from winning the punishments for losing etc and wondering just how much of that the producers predetermined.

Something Different, Hurrah.

dancewearI love it when on The Biggest Loser, both the USA and Australian versions, they show work outs that are something a little different to the norm. They had a dance workout on The Biggest Loser Australia this series and it made me want to rush out and buy dancewear and get started myself, last season they had a boxing class and that had the same effect on me. I am sure the contestants appreciate it also, the probably spend a few hours per day on the same piece of gym equipment — any thing that breaks up the monotony must be good for their souls!

Web Hosting Choice

I almost don’t want to say this because knowing my luck it will jinx it, but I am very happy with my current web hosting provider. I did a lot of research before picking them as my host on sites like WebHostingChoice.com — finding out not only what they offered and for how much, but also reading independent reviews about them and their competitors from people who actually use their service. I have been here for around six months now and as I say, so far so good, hopefully I will be staying here and won’t need to use a web hosting review site again myself any time in the near future.
