Big Brother is back!

normal_celebrity-big-brother-2009-eye-logoOnly a week to go before the new series of Big Brother UK begins, excited? Not really.

The show has lost it’s sparkle for me, I think it’s well past it’s sell by date and the fact that there will be no live feed this year is a big downer. It’s not Big Brother without live feed really is it?

I will of course still be watching it, it’d be rude not to — but the glory days are definitely over.

Need Skip Bins?

We just started recycling here where I live, how behind the times is that? Most other people around the world have been at it for years but our council only just got around to it, useless.

mobilegarbagebinsYou can learn all about waste management services australia at Veoliaes.com.au as well as purchase any bins you need, in all sizes, shapes and for all purposes, they have every thing for your skip bins Melbourne needs.

Take a peak :)

AusNTM for life!

Oh me oh my, I just started watching Australia’s Next Top model Cycle 5, it started several weeks ago so I am a little behind and I have to say…the AusNTM house this cycle is the best Next Top Model house ever in the history of the show the world over!

The foyer, the garden, the pool, the marble column, the windows, the sofas — all absolutely to die for.

0702_burdeu_a_lgThe Australian version is the best in the world in every aspect in my opinion, so it makes sense they should have the best and clearly highest budget house. The way they deliver the Sarah mail each week in a unique and interesting fashion is awesome, the girls are all really modelesque and of course they are the only country to have a winner actually go on to become a top model.

I totally want to be rich and deck my house out in marble now though. I was just browsing the selection of marble goodies at MarbleUnique.com, they have fireplaces, columns, statues and so much more.

I have added them to my bookmarks folder titled ‘For when I win the lottery’, not that they are super expensive — but I won’t have any where worthy of all my marble goodies until after I move into my massive mansion!

Boblian attack!

thebiggestloserI was just looking at the gorgeous gourmet dark chocolate available at Gertrude Hawk, drool, how am I meant to stick to my healthy regime when I have such beautiful dark chocolates tempted me to eat them?

I need to summon the voice of Boblian in my head shouting at me not to do it, or actually more effective for me would be imagining the work out they;d give me if I was on The Biggest Loser and had given in to a temptation challenge — they’d make me sweat blood!

Still, chocolate….yum, I am having some. Boblian can’t touch me all the way over here in England ;)

Lost Now Found!

quasiadam_monster1As you know I gave up watching Lost a while ago, after the awful episode where Ben faced the monster and saw his dead daughter.

However alot of Facebook status updates and tweets during the last episode that aired got me interested again and with the reality tv season now over (noooooo!) and the fact I did already have the episodes saved I decided to give it another go.

Still not loving it to be honest, but I will watch the season out.

Brum Brum

ford_ka_3-resizedMy dad is getting a new car some time soon, I don’t even know what the one he has now is but it’s ancient and beyond ready for the scrap heap! He has asked me to look for Ford Cars for Sale online because he’s always been a Ford fan — the car we had when I was a kid was a ford something or other and he loved it. Specifically, if he can find one at a good price, he’s after a Used Ford Ka…we’ve been stalking the local paper for a few weeks and nothing is appearing so going to check out teletext when he gets back from work, my other half got his last one off there and got a killer deal on it :)

Need outdoor gear

Further to my post earlier today about outdoor gear I went on a search for places that sell the sort of things I would like to buy and get into and came across HanksClothing.com, they are a well established company that have been going since the 1940s, so are definitely a reputable place I would be happy to get my gear from :)

x01brn-thThey have some really sweet looking Carhartt Clothing available at impressive prices — I love the Insulated Coveralls at just $99, I have absolutely no need for them but am tempted to buy them any way because they look so comfortable.

Hmm need to find an excuse…

I need airbrush products!

Remember I told you that since The Biggest Loser Australia finished I was having withdrawal symptoms, so I added a bunch of them on Facebook like a big silly nerd? Well I now have, erm, pretty much all of them on there from this season and past ones and here’s an interesting fact — those guys seem to love getting Tattoos!

I don’t know if it’s an Australian thing, a feeling more confident because they lost weight thing or it’s just this group of people but they all seem obsessed with showing off their existing tattoos and getting news ones done.

large-angel-back-tattooBoth Andrew and Teresa have had ones done over the past week, Andrew got his wife/girlfriends name on his arm and Teresa had a huge one that takes up her entire back!

I might have to become a tattoo artist and advertise myself as ‘Tattoo Artist to the Reality TV Stars’ so I can meet all these people, heh.

If I do decide to go there I can pick up all the Airbrush Products I would need from EuropeanBodyArt.com, they sell every thing I would need to get started and offer really great prices, they are one of the biggest suppliers in the USA :)

60 Minute Makeover

lg-promo-60-minute-makeover-1How do they do that, seriously? In 60 minutes they totally revamp at least a few rooms and they always look amazing. I know they have about 50 people shoved in there working on it but it never ceases to amaze and impress me. Plus it’s always a plus that the lovely Craig Phillips of Big Brother 1 UK fame is on there, with his sweet little face and chirpy Liverpudlian accent reminding me of the good old innocent reality TV days :)

The only problem I have with watching 60 minute makeover is that it always makes me want to makeover a room in my house, even though we redecorated when we moved in a few months ago — I still want to get new wallpaper and bedspreads and lighting and every thing else every time I watch it :)

If I ever won the lottery and became one of the idle rich I would so hire a design team and have my whole house completely redecorated at least once every 6 months, or if money was really no object then maybe once every 3 months. Oh I would do so much ridiculous stuff if I were rich enough, I would probably be one of the most annoying people in the world!
