Myrtle Beach is ON!

myrtle-beach3bedroomssleeps10_11655364126641So we have decided we are definitely going to go stay in one of the gorgeous Myrtle Beach Hotels in 2010, I managed to sell my husband to be on it quite easily after showing him the little research I did and some photographs of some of the gorgeous Myrtle Beach Accomodation available in our price range.

Like me he’s now just gutted that we can’t go there right away and will have to be patient and wait until our next vacation.

We just need to decided now what sort of Myrtle Beach Accomodations to stay in, we are always at odds when it comes to this as I prefer to go self catering, renting an apartment or something — but he likes to go to a hotel.

We’ll see, there’s no rush to decide now :)

Don’t tell the Bride

samkatypublicitypic1530A new series of my favourite trashy reality show started this week, I am talking of course about “Don’t tell the bride”, the show where the bride to be goes off to stay with her parents in the 2 weeks running up to the wedding leaving the Groom to organise every thing from the super important location for the big day to minor details such as the bridal hairpin.

I don’t know why I love the show quite so much, I think that as a Bride to be myself I just find all wedding shows generally interesting — but it never ceases to amaze me how stressed and annoying a lot of the women get, threatening to call of the wedding if the guy gets the wrong veil for her.

It’s ridiculous, I hope my husband to be appreciates how chilled out I am about ours. I just want something simple and relaxed, I can’t imagine there’s anything I feel I must have or the day will be ruined.

Friends and family, and him of course — that’ll keep me happy.

We really should set a date though, we’ve been engaged for over 2 years already and I think it’s time we got on with it, don’t you? :)

I love the Office

the-office2I have seen every episode several times over and obsessed over it, but I am talking about the original UK version — I have never even given the American version a chance and I don’t plan to start now.

I love offices in general, that makes me sound lame but I get excited by paper and printers and a good office chair can make me squeal with excitement.

So a show set in an office that is quirky and funny is great by me and is always going to be a hit.

The reason I object to the USA version is because they were on about season 23 within a few years of it starting over there, whereas we only had a few series full stop. How can it possibly be of the same quality when they bash it out so fast?

Maybe I would watch it and love it, why not, America loves it? But I don’t want to give it a chance, I am sticking to my guns about it.

I need to buy some new dresses for work. Think I will hit up one of my favourite online stores and see what they have, I haven’t been on a spending spree for a few months now and I am long over due some new stuff :)

Beautiful Clothes

The Fashion Show is…lame…compared to Project Runway that is.

I get that there has been some legal issues and that The Fashion Show has been created quickly in order to try and fill the gap and stop fans from having to go without their fix.

But it’s still lame.

I don’t even know who the guy judge is and Kelly Rowland is not a very constructive judge, what claim to fashion fame does she have any way other than that she likes to wear pretty mim pi dresses now and then? hmm.

The designers in general just don’t seem up to scratch either. I guess this is because as previously mentioned the show was rushed so they didn’t have endless audition time to find them — but some clearly need to go back to fashion school to learn how to sew and some need some time designing general Boutique Clothing before trying to step out on their own like this.

One person quit after the first episode, at least 4 of them have said that they can’t sew and the one dude now clearly doesn’t still want to be there, I have forgotten his name, he looks like Fred Flintstone though…

Roll on actual Project Runway in August.
