Baby Blues?

So one of my friends from work is having a baby soon and I asked her what gift she wanted and she said she’d love some gorgeous Baby Bedding for the cot her parents got them — OK no problem, I know where to get some really cute Baby Bedding Sets because I bought some from BabyBeddingPlace.com not so long ago — but, and call me grumpy if you like, I don’t see why we are expected to give gifts when someone has a baby, in fact there are a lot of occasions I don’t understand why we are expected to give gifts for – engagement, new house, pregnancy etc etc.
Weddings, Christmas and Birthdays — that should be it!
