Someone just asked me to look on the Accor Hotels website and pick my dream vacation – I then went into a big fantasy in mt head where I chose my favourite, they waved a magic wand and made my dream come true, but actually they were just curious because they are planning a vacation.
Sigh, my dreams are dashed.
Still, it was nice to take a look at what they have to offer and dream away. I have mentioned before that I am desperate to get away somewhere exotic on vacation but money is too tight for this summer, so this is not the first time I have made a ‘dummy’ dream vacation plan
An Accor Hotels City Super Sale is currently running where you can get savings of up to 60% for stays between July and September. I would love to go to Australia, it has always been my dream and some of the prices they have really are killer. I would happily go to any city if I could, but ideally I would love to go to Sydney and do all the typical touristy stuff like climbing the Sydney harbour bridge like they seem to do in every season of The Biggest Loser Australia

Did you see the episode of The Apprentice from a few weeks ago where they had to go to a large baby show in London and sell baby toys and the like? That was a great episode, I always enjoy the ones where they are given a selection of items to look at and then have to decide which ones will suit best and pick a few to try and sell.
It’s amazing the sort of things that end up tripping people up, like the team that went with the special folding buggy but didn’t ask if any one else there would be selling it — when they got there another stall was selling it just around the corner from them at £20 less than they were, so they did all the leg work promoting the thing to customers and then they all wandered around the corner and bought it from the other seller! Oh dear.
I respected the team that went for the expensive wooden toys including the £3000 rocking horse, they were right that they only needed to sell one of them to win the challenge and it was a shame it didn’t pay off and they couldn’t shift it.
As Sir Alan pointed out, who spends that much on a toy on impulse really?

Apparently Angel should have got some Iced Out Jewelry from HipHopBling.com for the challenge on ‘The Fashion Show’ last week — poor girl was eliminated because she didn’t know what a ‘B-Girl’ was and her challenge was to create a look catering to that clique. Kelly Rowland and the guy judge were completely mean to her about it, like it was the most idiotic thing in the world to not know exactly what b-girl style is — but judging by the comments on the youtube channel that posts it, she was not alone.
The episode bugged me, major!

I used to drink a lot in my younger days, like most people I guess, but I gave up drinking alcohol a few years ago now. Initially just because I was dieting and wanted to see if I could do it and it was so easy to not drink alcohol that I just never started again.
I am sure my favourite online wine store misses my custom hehe
That’s not to say I have given up for good, there’s nothing wrong with having the occasional glass of wine and when a situation comes up that I want a drink a drink I will have!
I had planned to have a few at my friends wedding last month but every time someone offered me a drink or I went to the bar I just asked for a diet coke by default without thinking!
I will definitely share a bottle of dry white wine with my fiance when we go on holiday at the end of August, we already have the bottle of wine because someone gave me one for my birthday back in March. We are going to have a naughty day with fish and chips, ice cream and wine on the balcony.
Ah the wonders of British holidays

When I watch American TV shows and movies I often find myself wondering if every American citizen really keeps airsoft pistols under the bed — that’s certainly the portrayal. I am from the UK and over here people don’t have guns, even the police don’t generally carry them so it seems mighty scary to me. A friend told me a while ago, just in passing, that her brother had once been attacked by some guys and ever since then he’d carried a gun on him wherever he goes — the only time he doesn’t have one of his airsoft guns on him is when he goes into a government building such as the post office.
This seems insane to me, he’s a family man and he carries a gun at all times?
The only people who would do that in the UK are criminals, bad guys, people looking for trouble. So the idea of a mild mannered family guy doing it confuses the hell out of my brain.
America has a whole lot going for it, such as it’s superior reality television of course, but the fact your average Joe carries a gun is one of the bad sides of America for me and one of the reasons I would not want to live there.

I saw ‘The Hangover’ a few weeks ago at the cinema, I got to see it for free and before it was officially released here in the UK which was pretty awesome, made me feel all special haha
I very rarely really enjoy films, usually only 1 or 2 per year really grab me, and The Hangover did just that — I was laughing my backside off throughout the majority of it and I loved how they took it to places that you really wouldn’t expect them to. I also loved how random it was, like when they find the baby and instead of handing it over to the police they just wander around with it all day, and when the naked Chinese fella jumped out of the trunk of the car and attacked them!
It makes me want to look up some affordable Car rental Las Vegas and go for it! Although without the copious amount of drugs and alcohol of course, given that I am t-total – but you don’t need them to tear it up in Vegas!
You can find Las Vegas car hire at e-zrentacar.com if you are lucky enough to actually be heading to Vegas and not just dreaming about it like me!
