Been reading Dish network reviews

dish-networkI’ve decided that I need more TV channels, yes you heard me, I need more. Apparently watching most reality shows from the UK, America, Australia, New Zealand and Canada isn’t enough to quench my thirst for sitting in front of the big box. I might sign up to Dish Network next, there are some Dish Network specials running at the moment and I have heard positive things about them :)

Creating Business Cards

img27I was just looking around for somewhere to get free business cards. My boss is looking to get some and as ever I was tasked with finding the best place to get them — I wanted to get some free ones just to try out the services and quality before placing a bigger order. This is something I always look out for, I would bet that the money a company ‘loses’ in giving out free samples is more than made up for in that they get more orders out of it — it’s a smart business move and I think that every one should do it to be honest :)

Old School Fun

xbox_consoleMy other half just got a new XBox, I say new, of course it’s second hand — he picked it up off of eBay for £5 — he used to have one and absolutely loved it but it died a few years ago, the sound on it went I think and he’s always been talking about replacing it but never got around to it. Now he’s a happy bunny playing all his old games and it means I get to watch as much Big Brother Live streaming as I want without him moaning, woohoo.

American adverts are funny

cheesydad-102_smallI can’t watch most American adverts without cracking up, they are so different to UK ones and I guess because I hardly see them they always stand out like a sore thumb when I do. I just saw a colon cleansing reviews one and was in fits of giggles, it’s usually just the presenting style that does it to me but it’s made even funnier when they use words like ‘butt’ every 5 seconds :D

Spa time

the-sims-2_hot-tubinI have been playing the sims 3 a lot lately, I always go through stages of being completely hooked on it — one of my sims, Bamboobo VanMuster, loves spending time at the Spa…almost every single ‘wish’ she has is to go to the spa and get something done. I wish that you could buy spa parts for the home as it would save me a lot of money and time in the long run. I am sure that in the sims 2 there was a hot tub at least that you could buy, I remember that they went down well at parties lol

Cool gadgets

yhst-38176160243944_1973_34706018I am terrible when it comes to buying gifts for my dad, come his birthday, or Christmas, or Father’s day I am always left scratching my head and panicking. For as many years as I can remember now he’s ended up with some ‘fancy’ beer and a chocolate bar — how very unimaginative of me hey?

I should really get him more Electronic Gadgets because I know in general he likes those, he’s a techy kinda guy but always thinks gadgets are overprices so doesn’t buy them himself.

I think that next time a gift giving opportunity comes around I am going to get him one of those remote control helicopters, I think he’d like that :)

A good nights sleep!

valencia2006_1__4So, my fiance went out and got us a new bed? Nice huh?

Well, no actually — I am always the one that decides on our decor and furniture…it’s a dangerous game him doing it.

His boss was selling it off cheap because they have another baby on the way so need to clear out the spare room and turn it into a nursery. Husband to be thought that it was such a good deal for a big expensive bed that it was worth the risk that I wouldn’t like it.

I suppose he’s right really, though he should know I generally don’t like divan beds. But I guess money is the most important thing when you are struggling in this economy as we are — not what it looks like. Plus it is super comfortable and easy to sleep on as it was a really expensive and high quality purchase originally.

Though if I did have my way I would have wanted a nice brown or black leather one — I just think they look so sexy and modern, whereas divans look old fashioned to me. Time4Sleep.co.uk have loads of leather beds that tickle my fancy and at really great prices too.

Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.

The Biggest Losers

thebiggestloserWhy do people take weight loss pill? Don’t they watch The Biggest Loser? You can do it without pills and potions and magical cures — mind you The Biggest Loser does a great job of getting across just how much effort and dedication is required to actually not only lose a lot of weight but also keep it off, and since overweight people are generally lazy I guess I just answered my own question there didn’t I?

Steer your way

7327bmv-102If you need new parts for your car, like a bmw steering rack for example, then check out carsteering.com — they sell steering racks and steering boxes for most models and makes of car and are a well known and reliable online retailer. I think that it is very important to make sure your car is in perfect condition at all times, it sometimes amazes me how bad people will let them get before taking them to the garage or buying new parts that they need — I know money is tight for people these days but safety should always come first!
