I feel so old today
Posted in friends and family, shopping on 07/06/2009 02:17 pm by adminAs though I wasn’t already feeling ancient enough with my fiance just having turned 30 and me not being too far behind him — today I found myself saying some unthinkably ‘old person’ words;
“Kids don’t know how lucky they are these days!”
Argh no, say it ain’t so…did I really just do that?
What prompted me to say it was the fact my niece has asked for a scooter for her birthday, no big deal there nothing wrong with that.
Then I realised she wanted the brand spanking new rocket electric scooter from Fun4Kids.co.uk and she showed it to me — Electric? electric? and with a seat? In my day they were made by your super dad of random bits of wood and some old wheels, and if you wanted the thing to move it was time to get your legs moving!
Now, I wonder if I am too old for an electric scooter because, wow, they look like fun
