Cyber Monday

I can’t wait for Cyber Monday this year, as you know by now I love shopping online and it is easily the best online shopping day of the year. I have got some absolute killer bargains over the last few years and plan to get the best yet this year — hopefully we can completely kit out the new flat for next to nothing :)

Evil at Heart

I like to read as well as watch TV, any form of entertainment that stimulates the mind is right up my ally. I love genres and authors from all across the board – from romance novels to thrillers. One author I recently became interested in is Chelsea Cain, author of ‘Evil at Heart’, a book in that is the next in a series and is set to be released on September 1st.

Watch the trailer below to find out what it’s all about :)

“In Cain’s superb follow-up to Heartsick, damaged detective Archie Sheridan is back home in Portland, Ore., trying to resume a normal life. Archie’s ties to serial killer Gretchen Lowell still run deep, even if he’s stopped their weekly visits in prison. Meanwhile, reporter Susan Ward is finishing an article accusing a beloved U.S. senator of seducing his children’s 14-year-old babysitter a decade earlier. When three bodies are discovered in a local park—where Archie’s team found Gretchen’s first victim 12 years earlier—Archie worries another serial killer is at large. After the senator’s unexpected death, Susan discovers links between the sex scandal and the bodies in the park. When Gretchen escapes from prison, Archie knows he’s the only one who can stop her from killing. In Cain’s capable hands, Gretchen is both a monster and the only person who truly understands Archie’s pain. With its brisk pacing, carefully metered violence and tortured hero, Cain’s sophomore effort will leave readers desperate for more.” Publishers Weekly

Specs Appeal

I loved wearing glasses when I was younger, whenever it was time to head to the opticians to get new glasses frames I was like a kid in a candy shop. I had some pretty crazy frames over the years as well, especially as a teenager when I was a bit of a goth :)

I wish that I still had to wear them but unforunately was told I no longer needed them several years ago now. I often think I might just buy some frames any way, with plain glass in them, just so I can wear them for fun! I would love some like these ones availabe at GlassesShop.com!

Directv

I was just looking at Satellite TV Providers because I think it’s time for us to switch again – why is it so hard to find a decent Satellite TV service these days? It should be getting easier, not harder!

We came across Kaptain Satellite and they seem pretty decent, really good prices and decent services offered – but I need to do a little research first and read some independant reviews. This is always super important, a company can offer you the world but it doesn’t mean they will deliver.

Can’t wait to move though, the one we are with now really isn’t worth the money we are paying.

Going for a clairvoyant reading

ecard_mo_largeHave you ever had a clairvoyant reading before? I have never really been tempted by it but have been offered a free one so am considering it.

I remember my best friends mum used to go and have one done every few months and as my friend got older she started getting them also. I got invited along many times but was a bit scared of it I think.

I was watching an episode of Eastenders a few weeks ago when Mo Harris was giving them for £5, totally untrained and just another rip off from her of course, but it led to some funny moments on the show.

That’s what made me start thinking about it again and I mentioned it to a couple of people and that’s when one of them said they knew someone who’d do one for me for free (they are trying to get their business off the ground).

I really think I should take up the offer, it’s a pretty sweet opportunity to get something I want for free and my friend has said she’ll go with me.

So yes, I think I have decided I am going to go for it. I will let you know how I get on.

Professional web design doesn’t have to cost a fortune!

designs_webI’ve been using free templates for Wordpress for many moons now. I actually used to design all of my own sites, but with so many great free templates out there now it’s easy to get lazy and rely on them — the problem with that of course is that they are not unique, you can browse blogs and probably hit across one that uses your template as well within 15 minutes.

If you are serious about your site, this is not a good thing. A custom template is an absolute must to make you stand out from the crowd. But they don’t come cheap and generally if you pay for Professional Website Design you’ll be paying a small fortune — the guy who did our website at work charged just shy of $500 for something that probably took him an hour.

Cue the recession busting deal currently on offer at ReflectStudios.com, to help promote their new site they are offering a full website that includes the code, design and install for just $99, a much more reasonable price for small businesses or individuals in this current climate. To take up the offer simply visit the site, click on “The Brand” and then “Apply for red label”, enter the special promo code REFLECT09 and fill out the form.

Then sit back and wait for the perfect design to make you stand out from the crowd wing it’s way to you :)

Only 4 months!

90_15_57---Christmas-Tree_webHave you started shopping for holiday gifts yet? My mum has and I couldn’t believe it when she told me, I thought Christmas had only just passed so was surprised when she pointed out it’s actually only about 4 months away — not long at all really.

It’s definitely still too early for me to start my holiday shopping but I understand why she has, she’s always been an early bird.

Vegas here we come!

I want to get some Blue Man Group Tickets Las Vegas. I have wanted to see Blue Man Group for ages and ages but never got around to it. I have also wanted to go to Las Vegas for years so wouldn’t it be great to combine the two and see Blue Man Group in Las Vegas?

I am definitely going to do it one year, it wouldn’t be any more expensive than going any where else on my holidays so why not? I am going to put it to my fiance and suggest it for next year and then we can start saving up :)

Any Lisa fans? No, thought not.

I wonder if Lisa will be hanging around in tattoo chat rooms when she gets out of the Big Brother house (this week hopefully!). She definitely loves her body art and has spoken before about how she likes her women with lots of tattoos — and judging by how many she herself has I think she really means that she likes a lot of them.

I don’t like Lisa at all to be honest – never have done and never will do, despite the fact she’s been quiet the last few weeks. I am not falling for the act and I remember what she was like in the early stages.
