Christian Chat City

If you are single, Christian and looking for people to chat to then why not check out Christian Chat City? It’s a well known christian singles chat site where you can meet people for chatting, friendship or dating who share your religious beliefs. Best of all the site is totally free, which is my favourite sort of price hehe

It’s been a long time since I have hung out in any chat rooms but a friend was talking about one the other day and it got me thinking it might be fun to find a good one and have some fun in it.

It’s never too early!

125075-2tIt’s never too early to start thinking about halloween costumes , I have already begun my search for awesome boys halloween costumes for my nephew and of course one for myself. Halloween is one of the many reasons I love living in the USA, as it is not really celebrated in any other of the many countries I have lived in — not to any where near this extent at least. In the UK and Australia they do have it but it is mainly a kids holiday and not that huge of a deal.

This coming October it will be my third Halloween in the states! The first year I didn’t get that into it because I was not used to it being such a big deal, but felt totally left out after seeing every one else go mad for it. Last year I went as an alien and this year I am very excited to go costume shopping on Pinatas.com because I am a lot skinnier now and have a wider choice of costumes.

Pinatas.com sell costumes for every one and have a huge range, I love all their girls halloween costumes and they offer free shipping on orders over $50 if you enter code “pppfree”, how sweet is that?

A new season begins

happiness_1I’m so happy that my favourite shows are starting to come back on, aside from Big Brother UK and USA it’s been pretty slim pickings the last few months.

I am most excited about Project Runway, I have missed it a lot and can’t wait to watch tonight’s two episodes.

I am also glad Top Chef if back but wish I had realised when the new season was starting, I just began watching season 1 a few days ago and I would have held off if I had known.

Now I just need Survivor and The Amazing Race back and all will be right with the world :)

Ready for a video contest?

Gallery_03If there’s one thing I like to think I am good at, it’s video contests. I have a creative mind and my word I have watched enough reality TV over the years to know what makes for compelling viewing. I enter video contests whenever I can and have even won a few — I’ve not hit the jackpot and won anything major yet, but it’s coming, I am sure of it ;)

I am about to enter the Singapore F1 Season Video Contest – “City of the Night” at VisitSingapore.com, it’s an awesome website offering Singapore F1 Events Information and news, so worth a look for all F1 fans :)

The contest runs from now until the end of the month and the 3 lucky winners, deemed as those who submit the most creative and original videos will win a lovely trip to Singapore and passes to the 2009 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.

A pretty sweet prize for racing fans I am sure you will agree, my other half would love me so much more if I won this for us.

So I’d better get my thinking cap on, I need to come up with something that is fully able to express how the season is more than ‘Just a race’.

Hell’s Kitchen Fakery

Most reality shows are somewhat scripted and manipulated imho, but this show takes the buiscuit, I never believe a word of it and wouldn’t be at all surprised if at least half the contestants each series are paid actors.

hkAlso the amount of shouting, ugh, it’s annoying enough when it’s Ramsey at it but all the contestants seem to have adopted the shouting = good mantra this season. It does my head in.

Also has any one noticed at the end of every episode we are told we won’t believe what happens next in the most explosive episode of Hell’s Kitchen, ever!

Peter Andre, Bless!

Did anyone watch the Peter Andre thing last night? I am embarrassed to admit that I did, I don’t even know why…but I can’t help but like the guy.

peter-andre4It followed him after his split with Katie and the poor lamb was obviously devastated. It saw him going into Ikea to get new things for his new flat and buying address labels so he could let people know his new address — he didn’t even know what items to buy and had to keep asking people, it’s obviously been a while since he lived on his own. He also wasn’t sure which people to even let know he had moved because a lot of them were her friends and family.

Bless it was just all so sad, really!

I wonder if Jesse will be…

jessie…hanging out in a bodybuilder chat room right now? Teehee, oh you do have to feel a little sorry for him though, don’t you?

Twice now he’s been knocked out of the game due to an unfair twist involving the public.

Honestly I think the guy is a bit of a tool, he has an ego the size of a small elephant, but he’s not really that bad — it must suck to know you are hated by America, not once but twice.

Oh well, he will enjoy himself in the jury house, he was clearly struggling on the dreaded slop diet.

Project Runway Australia

projectrunway_australiaOK I really need to go out and find some low cost health insurance, I just watched last weeks episode of Project Runway Australia and oh my — a woman was using the sewing machine and went right through her own finger, then had someone just pull the thread back out.

She was cool as a cucumber, I would have been wailing my eyes out!

How annoying!

configbox_rscI have an entire cupboard full of shipping supplies, yet the other day when I needed a shipping box to send something back I bought and was faulty, of course I couldn’t find one. Isn’t that always the way?

I used to ebay a lot so all the stuff is left over from that, like most people I don’t bother much with ebay any more as they take too much in fees, but I never got around to getting rid of it all.

Maybe I will make that my task for this week.
