Rich List

Have you ever wondered who the richest people in the world are? There are some names that everyone seems to already know – like Bill Gates of course although I am surprised he is still number one as I thought he had long since been overtaken, but it’s interesting to see who else is on the ‘rich list’, where they made their money and what country they are from.

I was just looking at a graphic that shows all this information on Visual Economics and was not surprised to see that the majority of the richest come from the USA – of course it makes sense that the worlds richest country would have the worlds richest people in it. There is only one person from the UK on the list – I know we are a little country but I have to say I thought there would be more than that, come on UK, buck up your ideas and try harder next time ;)

I’d love to be rich, who wouldn’t? But the riches some of these people have is just insane, what could anyone ever really do in a lifetime with $40b? You’d need 100 lifetimes!

I’m RICH!!

Woo, I just won £25 at LittleWoods Bingo – it was with bonus money too! I have not deposited on that site since I joined ages ago but they often email £1 bonus codes that I save up and then play when they have 1p or free play games :)

I like playing bingo and am always looking out for new sites to play on so I read the UK Bingo News and Reviews on AboutBingo.co.uk quite often – gotta keep my eyes peeled for the mega signup bonuses that come up now and then, you can get literally £100s for free sometimes.

I never really get into the chatrooms on the bingo sites though, they all speak Bingo Lingo and it seems pretty mindless to me.

Now, what shall I buy with my £25? hehe

Day of the Triffids

Please give me back my 3 hours.

Seriously, I don’t know why I went back for part 2 after finding part 1 pretty dismal. If I wasn’t unwell today and too lazy to find anything else to watch I definitely wouldn’t have seen it through until the end.

I didn’t understand Torrence’s role – I didn’t understand why he was on the plane, why he seemed to know what was going to happen with the blinding or what he was trying to achieve.

I didn’t understand why Mr Mainman (says a lot that I can’t even remember his name) hated his father and hadn’t spoken to him in years. I didn’t understand why those kids they found started calling them Mum and Dad after about 5 minutes.

I didn’t understand the solution – why did putting the poison in their eyes mean they got left alone? And what happened to the Triffids in the end? Did they get rid of them or did humans and Triffids start living together?

Ultimately – I guess I just couldn’t get into it because it’s hard to find a cute looking purple planet scary!

Load of bab.

To Touch or not to Touch?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of LG Chocolate Touch. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’ve been considering a new phone for a while now as I am able to get an upgrade on my current contract – but I do still love my LG Cookie – so it’s a case of do I upgrade because I can or do I stick with what I know I like?

I have been looking at the LG Chocolate Touch as an option as it’s very similar to my Cookie – just better!

It comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera and importantly an mp3 player with dolby mobile technology for really clear sounds, a lot of phones offer media players these days but they sound like some £1 speakers you picked up in an antique shop. I would love to get rid of my ipod completely, not least because I could do with the spare cash, but also because it’s one less thing to carry around – but that’s not possible at the moment. It also offers some neat features I have not seen before like a rhythmical beat that vibrates the phone a long with the music! Also it’s set up to make using social media sites like Facebook and Twitter as easy as possible – this is something that could easily sway my decision.

So what to do, what to do.

Christmas Telly!

I’ve spent the last few days catching up on the Christmas TV – I hardly had the telly on at all over Christmas and Boxing Day so had lots, given how tired out I have been the last few days I am glad that I saved it all up, it’s been nice lounging around in my new jimjams :)

There didn’t seem to be that much great stuff on this year though – the soaps were depressing as usual. Does Eastenders really need another “whodoneit” storyline? Gavin and Stacey wasn’t even a Christmas special. I didn’t enjoy The Royal Family. I was glad that Ali won the Strictly Come Dancing special but again didn’t really enjoy watching it. The Doctor Who special was OK but reminded me why I only really watch it cos it’s on and not because I am obsessed about it like a lot of people seem to be – it wasn’t a patch on that one with the scary water people!

Design Star

We are going to pick up some Grohe faucets on Thursday, we have decided to do up the bathroom which is super exciting to me. As you probably know by now I always wanted to be an interior designer and love shows like Design Star and Mad About The House. I love a good DIY project and it’ll give me something to look forward to in the new year.

You’re so emo!

I just accidentally stumbled across an emo chat room on my Internet travels, how very random! It’s been ages since I went in a chatroom, but I definitely spent my fair share of time in them back in the late 90s and early 2000s when I first discovered the wonder that is the Internet.

I’d say by now there’s probably 3947538575733 new chatrooms and they cater to people from all walks of life with all kinds of interests.

I might see if I can find a room for cheese loving, almost 30, British women heh.

What a disappointing outcome!

Totally gutted at the outcome myself, this is the second time this year that a ’southern belle’ has won on personality even though they really had no game (Jordan BB USA) – Natalie’s only move was convincing the girls to take out Erik, but ONE good move doesn’t make someone worthy in my eyes Under the radar is a valid strategy and probably the one I’d employ if I went on the show but as a viewer for obvious reasons it’s a crap strategy and I never find myself rooting for those that play that way. Either way Natalie didn’t win because of her under the radar skills – she won cos she’s nice. Big fat hairy YAWN!

One of the reasons I love these kinds of shows is because it’s not a personality contest so this new trend is really worrying and depressing to me.

Even at the start of this episode I was amazed at how well Russell played it, he told all three of his Foa Foa team mates lies but none of them questioned it even for a second and all three were willing and able to go along with whatever he said – his name was never even considered. And although I see people saying he didn’t play a good social game I really think he did – he had most of them eating out of his hands at one point or another, all trusted him, all went to him to ask where the vote was going and even though he masterminded getting rid of almost all of them there seemed to be very little actual bitterness from the jury!

I’ve been Bidazzled!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bidazzled. All opinions are 100% mine.

Don’t you just love the reverse auction sites that seem to have started popping up all over the Internet in the last year?

I remember when I first started using regular auction sites and it was all exciting, after many years of using them they lose the buzz so having something a little new and different is always welcomed :)

The most recent one I came across was Bidazzled – it’s a US based auction site that launched just last month but is growing fast. I saw someone posting about them on a coupon code site I post on because at the moment there are loads of codes you can use when you register in order to get free bids – if you use code BBP1202A before January 15th you’ll get 15 free bids worth $15.

All you have to do then is place your bids on the item(s) you want and sit back and hope no one else bids before the timer runs out – a few seconds are added each time someone bids. Most of the items end up selling for over 80% off retail price. There’s also an affiliate program for those that are into marketing where you can earn extra bids for each person who signs up under you and then even ones that sign up under them!
