Waaaaaant it!!

I want a laptop computer

I have been staying with my inlaws this week and apart from having superduperfastuper broadband they also have a really top of the range laptop – I have always fancied a laptop but now I really want one very badly. We can’t afford one at the moment though and because we don’t really need it I can’t see us ever getting one, but oh well a girl can dream.

In the middle of the night

I was watching the atv racing in the wee small hours last night, I had been ill most of the day with a migraine so had spent the majority of it asleep or being lazy – come 4am I was wide awake and looking for something to do. It’s amazing how much crap is on at that time of night, I tried about 30 channels before even finding something that was half watchable!

The Biggest Loser Australia

Ah watching The Biggest Loser Australia makes me want to rush out and buy diet pills so that I can lose 60kgs in 3 months as well – I want to go on that walk they do when they ‘put the weight back on’ by making them carry what they lost each week.

Having said that I am really not as in to The Biggest Loser Australia this year, I think that missing first 2 weeks really had a huge affect on how attached I feel to the contestants.

Move it!

Looks like I will need to find a long distance moving company some time soon as it looks like I am going to be moving down to the other side of the country in the summer – my fiance and I are finally biting the bullet and moving back down to the Midlands where he’s originally from. Exciting but scary at the same time.

Dancing with the Stars

Another season already? Really, it doesn’t seem like five minutes ago I had to endure that brat Kelly Osbourne – they sure like to spit ‘em out fast in the States don’t they? We’re on season 10 already and in the UK we started years before they did and we’re only on around season 6.

At least there doesn’t seem to be any one on it I hate this year so it will be totally watchable, though it seems a bit predictable that Nicole will win – scoring 10s on the very first episode is just silly, and then being awarded a 9 by Bruno even though they broke the rules – twice – sillyness.

On an animation kick!

I’ve been on a bit of an animated movie kick at the moment, in the last week or so I have watched Up, Cloudy with a chance of meatballs and Monsters vs Aliens – I think I enjoyed Up the most because of the random nature and cute characters although I did manage to fall asleep for around 20 minutes of it.

Next up on my list is the new Alvin and the Chipmunks, you can buy it now on DVD and blu-ray – it’s a good wholesome film that the whole family can sit down and enjoy and if you get the double dvd pack it includes a bonus disk called “The Squeak Along” that you can have a singalong to. They have some cool features on their website for kids as well, you can ‘munk’ yourself and partake in loads More Munk Mayhem at Foxfamilyflicks.com. To munk yourself all you need to do is follow the 3 simple steps to customise a cute little chipmunk to look like you and then you can even record a voice message to personalise it even more. I am going to show the site to my niece when she comes round tomorrow, she always wants entertaining when she’s here and I am sure that will do the trick for a while at least.

What has Lost become?

Lost used to be so amazing, it’s been becoming more and more ridiculous with each episode for a long time now but I have stuck with it – I wish I hadn’t.

I remember back in seasons 1 and 2 it was the most amazing, mind blowingly awesome show – there was a thread on a board I was a member of at the time where myself and a small group of fans would discuss each episode to death. Every tiny little thing that happened would be debated and speculated on and I am actually still really good friends with several people from that thread despite not having mentioned Lost in years.

At the moment I don’t even know who’s dead or alive, who is really themselves vs who is ‘possessed’ or even where most of them are – because I simply don’t care.

When things started getting silly I distinctly remember the producers saying that everything on the show could and would be explained by science and that no magic or supernatural powers were at work. It’s the sole reason I decided to stick with it.

And what do we have now?

Parallel worlds, time travel, warping, smoke monsters that can kill you, people coming back from the dead, people being possessed by evil, people who can see the dead, people who can communicate with the dead, disappearing islands, magic mirrors and immortality to name but a few.

Lost sucks.

Talking_500
To help promote the new Fiat 500, Fiat have released this fun video that aims to teach you how to talk with your hands – like me I am sure you will recognize a lot of these hand signals as things you have done yourself or seen other people use, but there are also plenty that are new to me.

Take a peek at the video below for yourself.

How many did you recognise? I am sure everyone has used ‘call me’ at some point and I often use the action of pulling my hand from under my chin to mean no.

‘This skinny’ was new to me though and I might have to start using it, given that I have lost 85 pounds in recent times it’d be a perfect way for people to describe me hey?

I can think of many they have no covered as well though, but I must admit most of them are not G rated and safe for innocent eyes to witness ;)

I love it when companies come out with neat little campaigns like this when they have something they want to promote, it makes it much more likely that people will care to watch and learn more!

Four Weddings is back!!

Ooooh my favourite trashy show is back and I didn’t even realise it!

Four weddings, the show where 4 brides attend each others big days and then make bitchy comments about everything from the dress to the food behind each other’s backs and rate them really low in order to try make sure they win it themselves ;)

I had not seen Ivy in anything else even though she is apparently an RTV slaaag and has appeared on many other things along with her husband. She came across OK on the show so was quite pleased she won, her and the rich Doctor lady were the nicest two which was not what I was expecting on first impressions.

The blond was awful at the end, not that she was really pleasant throughout – but her reaction was totally aggressive and over the top and then after having a go at Ivy for not dancing she’s shouting and balling at her that ‘I attended your damn wedding!!’

Who’d stay at the wedding of a practical stranger after being spoken to like that and made to feel unwelcome?

The irony being I think she probably would have won if it wasn’t for that, the scores were low and close so those 2′s for Ivy almost certainly killed her chances!
