Some asked me the other day to suggest some weight loss pills that work to them and I wondered why they thought that was a question I would know the answer to. I asked them and they said that they knew through a friend I had lost a lot of weight really so just assumed I would know.

Seems odd to me that someone would assume that the only way to lose weight is with the help of a magic pill. I lost mine through hard work and dedication only.

As I have got older I find I wear less and less Make Up, rather than more which is I think more the norm?

I’ve never been great at applying make up though, I could really do with watching some Make Up Tutorials online to be honest – I am sure I could learn a thing or two.

At the moment all I do is add a little foundation powder, some black eyeliner, a little clear mascara and a tiny bit of blusher on my cheeks. If I am going out somewhere nice I will add a little eyeshadow and use black mascara instead of clear – that’s it.

I was looking for some challenge coins custom a few days ago and was surprised by just how many there are out there to choose from – I thought ordering them would be a simple 5 minute task but how wrong I was, there’s just so many options that it made my head spin and I am having to sleep on it and have a think about it before ordering.

I just ordered a RockyMountainTrail.com columbia jacket and I can’t wait for it to arrive, I have had my eye on it for a while but I had just spent $80 on a new coat last month so couldn’t justify the expense. Now I have waited a little while and not bought much else I feel happy about splashing out again. Hopefully it will keep me nice and warm and dry!

My mum is turning 60 at the end of this month and I am on the look out for some unique personalized gifts for her birthday as it’s a ‘big one’, it’s always nice to make an effort for her birthday but I do tend to make an extra special fuss of her when it’s a big milestone and personalized gifts are always great

I would just like to thank whoever invented battery heated gloves and I would like to thank my neighbour for telling me they exist. I have been using hot water bottles and various other heated pads for work for years now – but of course they all go cold again sooner or later. This problem is eliminated with battery powered gloves as obviously they will stay hot for as long as your battery lasts. It’s blissful

At the moment it is a traditional time for bbqs, picnics, beach visits, camping and going to camps.

I remember my friend Lisa in Florida telling me that when she described her parent’s “camp” on the St. Lawrence River to her friends in Melbourne, Florida they honestly thought her parents ran a full-out kid’s summer camp – instead of owned their beautiful site on the river with easy access to the Thousand Islands, Canada, and their home in Ogdensberg.

It would seem “camps” likely started out with the Great Adirondack Camps which have a really interesting history in our state having been summer homes to the country’s rich, famous, and famously rich.

I’ve had the honor of going to a Great ADK camp once since my alma mater owns one near Saranac Lake. It’s actually called Canaras. Complete with an old library, boathouse, several individual guest houses, and a lodge with the most stuffed dead animals and horns I’ve ever seen, the camp truly lives up to the rumors that it was once owned by the Rockefellers and hosted many a famous actor/actress in the early 20th century.

But this weekend I am at a slightly simpler camp on Lake Elizabeth in Grafton after reading lots of Camping Information. It may not have been owned by a former president but it has nice access to the lake, a hammock, and a steady supply of ice cream. Yes, it’s been a good weekend.
