I have bought specs from Zenni Optical before, and I have blogged about them here at 1NetezNet on more than one occasion because I am always surprised and impressed by the wide range of frames they sell and the price they are able to sell them for — you can get eyeglasses for as little as $8, which given the prices these things cost in the big high street stores here in the UK, is pretty amazing.

I was pleased as punch when I logged on back in November and discovered they had a new range of holiday frames, mainly greens, reds and golds…the colours of the season…they also had some really funky ones with flowers on the side and the like. I was in Matalan (my favourite clothes shop fyi, yes I am cheap and proud ) the other day and noticed the selection of top design furniture from Colin and Justin, I stood there for a while thinking that I was sure I recognised those faces – then I realised it was Colin and Justin off I’m A Celebrity! How funny that I had been watching the show for two weeks but never really questioned who they were or why they were famous.

Well now I know, they are interior designers.

Am I the only one who sees people covered in piercings and tattoos on reality shows, such as Lydia from Big Brother USA and instantly wonders if they have any of their private bits pierced?

Costumes that is – people go out and spend a fortune on them each year and with more and more events where people are dressing up either for fun or because they are required to it can seem never ending! Most people also seem to have this idea that an outfit or costume can only be worn once.

So why not find a way to recycle or return them – and by recycle I don’t mean literally, I mean like maybe creat a swap group at your work or in your group of friend – so when you are done with a costume hand it in and select a new one from the others your friends have handed in themselves.

When my fiance and I first started going out he wore offensive t shirts all the time, and when I say all the time I mean all the time. The first time he met my parents he was wearing a mildly offensive one and he wore them to work! Now I don’t mind a good funny/rude t shirt, I own many myself to be honest, but I think there’s a time and a place, right?

Thankfully after 6 and a half years together I have managed to talk him round a little bit, so he only wears them half the time now

I just got around to watching last weeks Project Runway, where they had to create a look based on a movie genre. Why were the all so against getting ‘Western’? It was left til last and the two that got it groaned while all the others laughed at them.

Nothing wrong with a big of Cowboy inspired fashion, personally I would have struggled more with the Sci-fi genre.

And who had the last laugh because as it turned out the two Western inspired looks were two of the best, with Christophers coming a close second overall. His outfit made me want to go out and buy Frey Boots from SterlingLeather.com and rock it like his model did down that runway
