I have never really been someone that is interested in cars, they are something that get you from a to b – though being a typical girly girl I do like ‘cute’ cars, any thing that is pink or purple or has flowers on it is fine by me and I have always loved the look of minis and beetles and the like.

However when we moved in to our new house almost a year ago now (wow has it really been that long?) I think I fell in love with the neighbours Porsche as it just looks so sleek and gorgeous and my husband says that the special Porsche exhaust makes it sound smooth – so we are both envious of it, me because I love how it looks and him because he loves how it sounds.

The owner sure takes a lot of time and care over the car though – every weekend he’s out on his driveway doing something with it – usually polishing, cleaning, washing or otherwise sprucing it up. I once commented to my husband that I didn’t think I’d like it if he gave that much attention to his car but as he rightly pointed out every one has their habbies that they spend a lot of time on. I spend a lot of time watching and talking about various TV shows online and I spend a lot of time working out – similarily he likes to spend a lot of time playing computer games and playing snooker at the local club. So if someone wants to spend a lot of their free time caring for their gorgeous (and no doubt very expensive) car then so be it

Maybe one day we will be lucky enough to own a porsche but for now I am quite content just admiring my neighbours from the window

I am looking at sexy halloween costumes right now and I am excited, there’s a lot of advantages to losing weight and one of them is that I don’t have to run in fear when someone mentions a fancy dress event because I too can wear sexy fancy dress costumes and not feel like a frump as I used to do

I think with Christmas on the way and gadget loving relatives galore I am going to have a pretty easy time when it comes to buying gifts this year

I was just looking at digital cameras because I need a new one, mine has given up and packed in – which is very annoying as it’s only 2 years old, literally just out of warranty.

I don’t need a super good one as I am not a serious photographer – just so long as I can take snap shots and photos for my ebay sales

We went to the casino while we were away and boy it reminded me how long it is since I was last there and how much weight I have lost — as I was going as a guest of my friend I was asked if I had been before, I said yes but it was many moons ago — they checked my details and said it had been over 3 years and had to ask me to look at the photo on file to make sure it was me, as I weighed about 5 stone more when that photo was taken. I confirmed it was me and asked them to take a new photo lol

I think I will be sticking to online casinos from now on though, such as my favourite StanleyCasinos.com — it’s simple to use and has a relaxed atmosphere

I am about to go looking or some golf training aids because when we go on holiday next month we are going golfing, we have a free pass for this golf place that we are going to use but I don’t want to make a complete fool of myself by having my public outing being my first actual go at golf since I was a teenager.

So practice, practice, practice it is!

Watching Eastenders last night made me want to set up a book club and I instantly jumped on my computer to search for a place to Buy Cheap Books Online — then I actually thought about it and realised that I don’t know if any of my friends are remotely interested in reading so it wouldn’t be much of a bookclub if it consisted of just one person, aka me.

Oh well, I found some nice sites with a great collection of books to choose from at great prices so it was not a complete disaster.

Now, I just need to find the time to actually read them!
