However when we moved in to our new house almost a year ago now (wow has it really been that long?) I think I fell in love with the neighbours Porsche as it just looks so sleek and gorgeous and my husband says that the special Porsche exhaust makes it sound smooth – so we are both envious of it, me because I love how it looks and him because he loves how it sounds.

The owner sure takes a lot of time and care over the car though – every weekend he’s out on his driveway doing something with it – usually polishing, cleaning, washing or otherwise sprucing it up. I once commented to my husband that I didn’t think I’d like it if he gave that much attention to his car but as he rightly pointed out every one has their habbies that they spend a lot of time on. I spend a lot of time watching and talking about various TV shows online and I spend a lot of time working out – similarily he likes to spend a lot of time playing computer games and playing snooker at the local club. So if someone wants to spend a lot of their free time caring for their gorgeous (and no doubt very expensive) car then so be it

Maybe one day we will be lucky enough to own a porsche but for now I am quite content just admiring my neighbours from the window

Most people would see this as a bad thing as there’s no one there to chat to and the prizes are really low – but if I bought the minimum number of tickets it cost £1 and the prize each game was £2.50 – so when I was the only player it was a guaranteed £1.50 up each and every game.

I simply used to have it running in the background at night while I was on the computer any way and was coming away with around £25 per night

If you are any thing like me and every other 20-something-year-old, you probably have a ridiculous amount of electronic devices, and therefore a ridiculous amount of cables, wires and chargers!

At the moment sitting on my desk I have chargers for three phones, ipod, nintendo ds, rechargeable batteries, digital camera and my wireless headphones. I try to keep them all nice and tidy in a little plastic box, but of course it doesn’t work out like that and they end up strewn all over the place – causing the neat freak in me to cry a little inside!

It seems like I may have just discovered the perfect solution though in a product called Powermat. As the name suggests it’s simply a mat that will charge various popular gadgets such as your DS, iphone or blackberry – all without wires and the need to keep swapping chargers. The mats come in various sizes for use either at home or on the go and can charge as many as four items at a time, simply by placing them on it!

Erm, bliss.

I think with Christmas on the way and gadget loving relatives galore I am going to have a pretty easy time when it comes to buying gifts this year

I don’t need a super good one as I am not a serious photographer – just so long as I can take snap shots and photos for my ebay sales

I think I will be sticking to online casinos from now on though, such as my favourite StanleyCasinos.com — it’s simple to use and has a relaxed atmosphere

Oh well, I found some nice sites with a great collection of books to choose from at great prices so it was not a complete disaster.

Now, I just need to find the time to actually read them!

I used to drink a lot in my younger days, like most people I guess, but I gave up drinking alcohol a few years ago now. Initially just because I was dieting and wanted to see if I could do it and it was so easy to not drink alcohol that I just never started again.

I am sure my favourite online wine store misses my custom hehe

That’s not to say I have given up for good, there’s nothing wrong with having the occasional glass of wine and when a situation comes up that I want a drink a drink I will have!

I had planned to have a few at my friends wedding last month but every time someone offered me a drink or I went to the bar I just asked for a diet coke by default without thinking!

I will definitely share a bottle of dry white wine with my fiance when we go on holiday at the end of August, we already have the bottle of wine because someone gave me one for my birthday back in March. We are going to have a naughty day with fish and chips, ice cream and wine on the balcony.
