Bingoooooooooooooo!

I went through a major Bingo stage a few years ago, I would literally be playing it whenever I was on the computer. I started signing up to Bingo sites through cashback offers I was finding – it’s basically where a bingo site offer cashback if you deposit and wager a certain amount and most of the time in order to make them really tempted the cashback rate is as much as if not more than the amount you have to deposit. So before even starting to play you are already quids in, then you obviously have the chance of winning even more.

I even had a little book full of the names of all the sites I had already signed up to, through which cashback site and how much I was in profit. I play on all the big sites like Quicksilver Games and Mecca – but also loads of lesser known ones like BingoLiner as well.

I never had any really big wins in all the time I was playing, I think the most I ever won at once was £40 – but it all added up and was a lot of fun.

I think I will have to start doing it again :)

The joys of looking for a new webhost

I am so glad I have found web hosting that I am happy with, because I hate moving hosts. I’ve done it several times over the years and no matter how experienced you get it’s still a stressful time – I run several sites (I think it’s actually 12 in total!) so getting everything moved over to the new webhosting provider can be a hassle, it can take a long time, it can be complicated and it can and often does go wrong. I have been with my current host for almost two years now and so far so good, fingers crossed it stays that way.

That’s not even to mention the hassle you have to go through in the first place in finding a new host. Finding companies, comparing what they offer on their plans, working out which is the best value for money.

I always rely on real user reviews when it comes to things like this because I know from experience a company can offer the world on their sales pages, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they will deliver it. I’ve signed up to places before thinking they sounded awesome only for them to be completely useless.

Thankfully sites like WebhostingGeeks.com come in very handy for making it easier though, they list loads of the biggest and best known hosting providers and all are reviewed and rated by genuine users. The site has been around since 2004 so all the web hosting companies have lots of ratings and reviews already which is great news, a lot of these rating sites have about 3 reviews which for me just isn’t enough to be worth bothering with, you need a lot of reviews in my opinion to be able to get an accurate picture of things – they also have loads of web hosting news, guides and information available in their company blog.

GET A REAL JOB, BUM!

You know if my Internet continues to run the way it is doing I may need to actually go out and get a job, shocking!

I work from home, have done for many years now and I need a fast Internet connection to be able to do what I do competitively. I’ve been running the most successful home based business just fine until the last month or so when their ‘traffic management’ set in.

I said it before, I will say it again just in case any one happens upon this – so not go on O2 Access for any reason, it is not fit for purpose, I don’t know how they even get away with calling it broadband.

Don’t lose it!

It’s so easy and simple to do an online backup but it’s amazing how many people don’t, then they go and get a virus or something and lose everything and throw their toys out of the pram – you ask them why they didn’t have a back up and they say they couldn’t be bothered. Well, serves them right in my opinion :P

Flashy Clocks and Widgets

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Maani. All opinions are 100% mine.

10I just spent a while searching for Flash clocks/calender widgets to put on websites as I am working on a new project – again – I remember back in the day I used to run one website and I thought that was hard work, now I have so many domains I have lost count.

I don’t really think this is a good thing and I would like to get it down to a more reasonable level, like maybe 5? But alas, I get these ideas and I just can’t help myself I simply have to develop them out of fear if I don’t someone else will.

So any was I came across Pitiko.com pretty quickly and they had exactly what I was after, there are over 1000 designs to choose from and posting them on your site is as simple as simple gets – you just have to browse around to find your favourite and then copy the HTML code provided. No installations, no settings to adjust – just copy and paste and away you go.

I chose a nice wintery themed one to fit in with the current weather here in the UK :)

I’m RICH!!

Woo, I just won £25 at LittleWoods Bingo – it was with bonus money too! I have not deposited on that site since I joined ages ago but they often email £1 bonus codes that I save up and then play when they have 1p or free play games :)

I like playing bingo and am always looking out for new sites to play on so I read the UK Bingo News and Reviews on AboutBingo.co.uk quite often – gotta keep my eyes peeled for the mega signup bonuses that come up now and then, you can get literally £100s for free sometimes.

I never really get into the chatrooms on the bingo sites though, they all speak Bingo Lingo and it seems pretty mindless to me.

Now, what shall I buy with my £25? hehe

To Touch or not to Touch?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of LG Chocolate Touch. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’ve been considering a new phone for a while now as I am able to get an upgrade on my current contract – but I do still love my LG Cookie – so it’s a case of do I upgrade because I can or do I stick with what I know I like?

I have been looking at the LG Chocolate Touch as an option as it’s very similar to my Cookie – just better!

It comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera and importantly an mp3 player with dolby mobile technology for really clear sounds, a lot of phones offer media players these days but they sound like some £1 speakers you picked up in an antique shop. I would love to get rid of my ipod completely, not least because I could do with the spare cash, but also because it’s one less thing to carry around – but that’s not possible at the moment. It also offers some neat features I have not seen before like a rhythmical beat that vibrates the phone a long with the music! Also it’s set up to make using social media sites like Facebook and Twitter as easy as possible – this is something that could easily sway my decision.

So what to do, what to do.

I’ve been Bidazzled!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bidazzled. All opinions are 100% mine.

Don’t you just love the reverse auction sites that seem to have started popping up all over the Internet in the last year?

I remember when I first started using regular auction sites and it was all exciting, after many years of using them they lose the buzz so having something a little new and different is always welcomed :)

The most recent one I came across was Bidazzled – it’s a US based auction site that launched just last month but is growing fast. I saw someone posting about them on a coupon code site I post on because at the moment there are loads of codes you can use when you register in order to get free bids – if you use code BBP1202A before January 15th you’ll get 15 free bids worth $15.

All you have to do then is place your bids on the item(s) you want and sit back and hope no one else bids before the timer runs out – a few seconds are added each time someone bids. Most of the items end up selling for over 80% off retail price. There’s also an affiliate program for those that are into marketing where you can earn extra bids for each person who signs up under you and then even ones that sign up under them!

Feel the bid!

online_auctionsOooh I just came across FeeltheBid and it looks like it’s going to be a great site I will often use – I am always on the look out for alternatives to ebay for one thing but also it seems like it could be fun – as they have different types of auctions and not just the regular ‘highest bidder wins’ one I am used to.

The reverse auctions look the best fun – the lowest unique bid wins.

You get two free bids just for signing up and you can get an additional 5 bids free when you make your first purchase using code mtc81 and if you become a fan on Facebook you get your bids doubled on your first purchase.

Seems I found the site at just the right time with so many offers running :)
