Getting Older

I think I might need to start applying the odd anti aging product at night, I am getting old!

Honestly, I never thought I would be the sort of woman to freak out at turning 30, and really I am not that bothered – but at the same time I would really rather not be!

It also makes me feel old that our neighbours party every Friday and Saturday night until gone 5am, and rather than head round there to join in I moan and whinge about how annoying they are!

How do you like your coffee?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of GoViral. All opinions are 100% mine.

Me, I don’t like it at all.

SmileYourCoffeeLovesYouI’ve never really been a fan of coffee, I am a tea drinker through and through and always have been.

I had the first coffee I had had in several years about two weeks ago, and as much as my fiance tries to convince me otherwise I am convinced it made me very unwell – I barely slept for two nights and I felt all jittery and nervous – I vowed never to drink the stuff again and it really won’t be hard for me to stick to that.

As I was looking up information on coffee and the effects of it on people who are not used to drinking it (or caffeine in general, I drink decaff tea) I came across the video below from Douwe Egberts that has loads of information about all things coffee – from where it was first discovered and by whom to how to brew the perfect cup. There’s an interesting section about how Lloyds of London was originally a coffee house, who knew? Take a look at it for yourself, it’s about 5 minutes long but definitely worth the time.

City Slickers

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Brompton. All opinions are 100% mine.

Whenever I see big cities on the telly I think, thank heck I don’t live there – I know that some people love the hustle and bustle of city life but it’s just not for me.

Having said that I hardly live out in the sticks, I am in a quiet village in Yorkshire but live only a stones throw away from two of the UKs biggest cities!

I was watching a show last week that was sort of recapping the 2000s and there was a news piece on from when London first introduced the congestion charge and they were talking about how many people would now take to using bikes to get around and they showed someone using a fold up bike to show how convenient they were.

Sure enough since the early 2000s the number of cyclists in London has almost doubled and Brompton who were once Undiscovered Business Entrepreneurs who make these great fold up bikes have gone from strength to strength. They are a London based company that have been making the folding cycle since the 1970s and will hopefully continue to do so and keep growing in the process.

Take a look at this video below for more information :)

I wonder if they have penis jewelry down there?

vivieenewestwoodpenispendantAm I the only one who sees people covered in piercings and tattoos on reality shows, such as Lydia from Big Brother USA and instantly wonders if they have any of their private bits pierced?

“I wonder if they have Penis Jewelry down there”

It’s the first place my mind goes. I don’t know why

Virtual Office

A lot of businesses today now have an open view on business offices. Although most still operates locally, a number of businesses nowadays have offices on a remote location to save labor cost and improve communication and logistics. There are actually Virtual Office solutions provider such as DaVinciVirtual.co.uk that can actually handle that kind of arrangement. DaVinciVirtual.co.uk is one of the companies that offer solutions on virtual office support focusing on virtual communication and virtual offices.

DaVinci Virtual Office Solutions offers a range of products badly needed both by medium and large companies these days such as live customer service representatives for Live Receptionist Services and lobby receptionists and call forwarding feature for example for Virtual Office Locations solutions. Companies now have a way to run their business without them thinking more on various administrative tasks that does little to attract clients anyway. With this setup, you can actually focus more on running your business and focus on money-generating projects instead.

DaVinci also boasts on providing sophisticated conference rooms with all the needed physical equipments and technological tools to support remote voice conferences. I think that this is a better way to really advance your business by letting others runt he administrative side of the business while you focus as a business owner focus on generating money for your company.

Digital Camera Needed

cheap-casioI was just looking at digital cameras because I need a new one, mine has given up and packed in – which is very annoying as it’s only 2 years old, literally just out of warranty.

I don’t need a super good one as I am not a serious photographer – just so long as I can take snap shots and photos for my ebay sales :)

Rolling in it!

rolling-in-moneyYou know how people dream of winning loads of money and then rolling around naked in it, either on a bed or in a bathtub? Yeah well I share that dream of getting so ridiculously rich I could roll around in my wealth – but I’d go for something less predictable than notes, like loose diamonds or caviar or designer handbags!

Having said that I’d be a little worried about where the diamonds might end up, ooerrr!

Sight See

People take a lot of things for granted, myself included of course. I sometimes wonder how I’d cope without being able to watch all of my favourite reality shows if my eyesight were to deteriorate – I am sure I would have bigger and more important concerns as well, but it’s all those little things like not being able to watch the TV that concern me at the moment.

I just heard about this great iLASIK Video Contest at GottaSeeThisNow.com where you can win loads of great prizes just by creating and submitting a video.

Here’s how it works, you are asked to create a video showing how better vision would or even has improved your daily life – has it made you better at your favourite sport? Has it stopped the inconvenience of having to wear glasses or contact lenses for you? Or in my case, has it made you more able to enjoy your favourite TV shows?

Once you have submitted your video people vote on it and if you are chosen as the winner you can take away $5,000, an HDTV package worth $2,500 or a Flip UltraHD camcorder worth $199.99 – they have lots to give away in several categories so you could be in with a really great chance :)

Horoscopes

horoscopes2Even though when asked I would tell people I think horoscopes are ’silly’, I always check mine each week in the copy of ‘Whats on TV’ I get delivered – so what does that make me?

I don’t know, I enjoy reading them and going ‘ooooh’ even though deep down I don’t buy them.

That’s not to say I think all astrology stuff is silly, just the mass produced cookie cutter stuff you get in the big publications.

I was on a horoscope 2010 a while ago where they do actual readings and I would be much more inclined to go along with those :)
