You know one genre of television I have never had much of an interest in? Hospital related dramas – Holby, Casualty etc have never floated my boat for some reason. What do I care if there’s a panic on because they have run out of mediven compression stockings, like the ones available on DiscountSurgical.com?
As for the reality medical shows, don’t even get me started. My stomach cannot take watching real life surgery and blood and vomit. My other half likes to watch one called Bizarre ER and I have to leave the room whenever it’s on.
I did go through a stage of enjoying ER at some point in the late 1990s, but I admit that was mainly down to the overflow of extremely hot doctors, drool, but I have not watched it for many years now — didn’t it end recently infact?
The other exception would be Scrubs which I love, but that’s a comedy rather than a drama or reality.
If you need any discount medical supplies then check out the link I posted above, they sell loads of related products at really great prices. They only charge a few dollars for shipping and you can get their catalog mailed to you free

I only just got around to watching the Prison Break finale, I know I know, how very behind of me.
I still don’t know who that Kellerman dude was, obviously he’s been in it before and judging from the conversations he betrayed them, but I have an awful memory and didn’t remember him which sort of ruined things a little.
I have to say I thought it was rather lame that all the bad guys ended up in bad situations — Bagwell back in prison, Self a cripple, Michaels Mother dead etc and all the good guys got a happy ending. Not very realistic is it.
And, although I saw Michael’s death coming a mile off I did still think it was a very emotional and powerful way to end the show off.
Overall I enjoyed the finale and season in general.

As you know I gave up watching Lost a while ago, after the awful episode where Ben faced the monster and saw his dead daughter.
However alot of Facebook status updates and tweets during the last episode that aired got me interested again and with the reality tv season now over (noooooo!) and the fact I did already have the episodes saved I decided to give it another go.
Still not loving it to be honest, but I will watch the season out.

I want an windmill aeration device for my pond, well my imaginary pond. Random? Here’s why…
Did you see the episode of Pushing Daisies a few weeks ago, with the owner of the dam that was murdered? Man I love that show, it’s so unique and quirky — I can’t believe that it is potentially going to be axed, what’s that about? Save Pushing Daisies Ra Ra Ra!
Annnnd calming down.
Anyway, it reminded me how much I like water and made me realise I have not spent time near any, not sea, lake or pond, since I was holiday in June last year, crikey.
I always wanted to have a little garden with a little pond when I grew up, I can still picture in my head. It has plants, fancy aeration devices, lots of little ornaments of frogs and the like, fishes of course…lots of wee fishes and it’ll just be…cute, cute as a freaking button.
You can get all kinds of accessories and necessities for your ponds at livingwateraeration.com, they cater for every one from small pond owners to the things you’d need for a huge lake.
So if unlike me you have an actual pond as opposed to an imaginary one, check ‘em out

I am a few episodes behind, so forgive me for being soooo last week about this — but I didn’t understand how Chuck’s dad, aka the Sam from Quantum Leap a) managed to get that message up on the sign he was driving past and b) how Chuck even knew it was from him and what it meant?
Oh well. It reminded me about a site I came across a few days ago though called stgsigns.com — they are leaders in banners Orange County. They started out as just a wee humble graphic designers back in the late nineteen eighties in California and have come on leaps and bounds since due to their quality work and reputation.
I found the site because my husband to be’s boss asked me to help him find someone to do the new signage for his shop and this site kept coming up in the results — they are no good for him of course as we need a much more local company to do the work, but based on the wee bit of research I did I will definitely recommend them to any friends closer to the California area who need such services in the future

I have always been the sort of person who sticks by a TV show through thick and thin — even if it turns to shit I watch it because I have to finish what I started. In the last 5 years I have given up I think…two…shows. Home and Away and Hollyoaks.
However in the last few months I have been giving them up left and right — Emmerdale, Heroes, Lost, Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend, The Weakest Link, Britain’s Next Top Model.
It’s liberating and I don’t miss any of them one single bit!

I gave up Heroes a few weeks ago and now it looks like Lost won’t be too far behind.
What was that episode, not this weeks as I am a little behind, but the one that aired the week before. We had at least two dead people running around the island in John Locke and Alex, plus a smoke monster, time travel and heck knows what other lazy plot devices and holes.
What has this show become? I feel like I don’t care about what happens to any of these people any more, in fact I don’t even know who half of them are…he’s been in it for several episodes now and although I know he must have been in it previously I am still yet to work out who the pilot guy, Frank?, is meant to be.
I remember the producers way back in season 1 & 2 telling us that every thing on the island could be explained with science and no such silly nonsense as time travel or monsters existed. Liars.

It was great while it lasted, during the first few years you made me feel so many emotions each time we met, from love, warmth and joy to anger and frustration — if we weren’t together enjoying each others company, I was talking about you with friend or even strangers on the Internet. I analysed every little thing you said and did to see if I could unravel your wonderful mysteries.
Things turned stale though, and I am sure you realised it too. It seemed like you were trying too hard, making up mysteries when they really weren’t already there just to try and keep me interested. I stopped talking about you with friends. I stopped caring about what was going on in your life.
It was a tough decision, I have never broken up with a TV show before — but last night after seeing you again, I made the decision that it is time to move on.
I just don’t love you any more.
I’m sorry,
Love from Viki

The little skit on last weeks Desperate Housewives with the ‘lesbian boots’ amused me. Susan became friendly with a woman from her work who got the wrong idea and thought Susan was into her, when she said she wasn’t the woman looked at her boots in a ‘Uh huhhhhhh?’ kind of way. At the end of the episode, you could just see the boots sitting in the bin hehe
I have always been a fan of butch boots to be honest, I have some Wolverine Boots that I wore to death as a teenager and if someone said I was a lesbian for wearing them I’d just laugh, I’d never throw away a great pair of boots unless they were broken in some way!
You can pick up great boots at Metboots.com, they sell a wide range and are known for having great customer service
