There doesn’t seem to be any decent dating shows on at the moment, I like to see Free People looking for love!
Oh wait, there is Take me Out that airs on a Saturday nights – that’s some serious cheese right there – “No likey, No lighty”.
Some of the girls on it are very annoying and clearly only there to get their faces on the TV though and most of the men are really annoying also, though I suppose you have to be uber confident to put yourself out there like they do!

…and you hear that beep, thing of the fun you could be having on supermarket sweep!
*Sigh* why did they axe that show, it was frigging awesome. And it’s true that any time I was in the supermarket and heard the beep, I did think of the fun I could be having on Supermarket sweep!
I used to work in a shop and used a barcode scanner and every time that beeped I pretended I was on the show.
I was lame I know, but it was great mindless day time TV

I have always been the sort of person who sticks by a TV show through thick and thin — even if it turns to shit I watch it because I have to finish what I started. In the last 5 years I have given up I think…two…shows. Home and Away and Hollyoaks.
However in the last few months I have been giving them up left and right — Emmerdale, Heroes, Lost, Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend, The Weakest Link, Britain’s Next Top Model.
It’s liberating and I don’t miss any of them one single bit!

The other half and I had the mother of all lazy days yesterday, we woke up late and lolled around in bed watching trash TV for a few hours, we then popped into town and to the Supermarket to do a little shopping and then it was back home for more lolling — played a little DS, played a little Wii and watched an awful lot of television.
We were up really late, since we had gotten up so late and not expended much energy all day so we found ourselves watching live roulette on TV at Ridiculous O’clock, I said I would love to play live roulette and might sign up in a few days when I have some spare pennies, usually he’d give me a look that means ‘No, dear’ at this point but he just shrugged his shoulders at me — so I have taken that as a big fat yes
It must suck for Americans who like a gamble because they aren’t allowed to gamble online, thankfully there are some ways around it and you can play live roulette USA if you know where to look and what to look for.
It was a good day overall, it’s nice to have a lazy day in front of the television now and then, right?

Worst game show on TV? Probably, but I have to blame Deal or No Deal as it clearly tries to copy the format.
It’s strange seeing Chris Tarrant present another game show full stop, he’s so synonymous with Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, but to see him on a really poor game show — aww man that’s sad, he should have stuck with what he’s good at.
It’s just nonsense because it’s all completely random, a person is either going to win or not so having to go through the rigmarole of listening to them give their reasons for choosing certain colours;
‘I am picking pink because I have a baby girl’
‘I am picking khaki because my granddad was in the army’
etc etc
Pointless.
The only good thing about the show is that the way Chris walks off every time the machine starts doing it’s thing never fails to crack me up, he looks like a drunk zombie!

On tonight’s Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway they pulled a woman out of the audience to take part in a game, as they do each week. She was a ‘prankster’ and they devised a game called ‘Prankety Prank’, based of course on ‘Blankety Blank’, where she had to admit to her pranks in order to win prizes.
Here are some of her pranks:
She put maggots in her boyfriends lunch box when she was mad at him.
She fed her friend cat food when he did not want to eat the Chinese meal she was planning.
She was sick in her friends sink and used his toothbrush to shove it down the plug hole, then put it back without telling him.
She stole her friends Christmas day turkey as she had forgotten to get one herself.
She was sick in her friends fish tank, killing her fish.
Oh har har har, hilarious pranks there huh?
Except, not. There’s nothing funny about a single one of those, nor would I describe them as pranks — those are just the actions of a truly unpleasant and selfish woman who can’t handle her booze.
Seriously. I am not just being a boring old grump, am I?
Those things are not funny.

Hardcore, Wipeout is now on UK TV!
Some American friends of mine were discussing the show on a forum I frequent a while ago so I downloaded some episodes and got hooked, although the American style of presenting kinda drove me crazy.
Tonight I noticed a show called ‘Total Wipeout’ was set to begin on BBC One and thought..that’s got to be the same as Wipeout, right? I half expected it to actually be the American version but to my surprise it was our very own home grown version — exact same obstacles, exact same format, exact same sarcastic sense of humour.
Good stuff. More mindless Saturday night viewing for me
