New music galore

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of goviral. All opinions are 100% mine.

I feel like I have somewhat abandoned new music recently – I have taken up running and been making my own podcasts to go along with the plan I am following so my goal recently has been to find good running songs, that’s it. It’s the first thing I think about whenever I hear a song – “Would that be good for running to?”.

So I have lots of new albums I need to listen to, not to mention loads of new artists to try out. I will probably sit down tomorrow and just have a music day, maybe invite a few of my music loving friends over to share the experience with.

I saw the following video from The Mystery Jets earlier which is what prompted me into this, it’s a preview of their new single Dreaming of Another World and it comes from the Stella Artois’ CO2 Soiree show. The video is set in 1963 and is very Beatlesesque and retro. Take a wee look for yourself:

I love it and can’t wait to hear more from them in the near future, I have really got into The Mystery Jets recently :)

Fancy a sing a long?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Madacy Entertainment. All opinions are 100% mine.

Dga2_4674This is fun, I came across an album called Ultimate Countdown Kids Collection: 200 Sing-A-Long Favorites and looking through the track listing is a hoot, it brings back so many great memories. It almost makes me broody and want a child of my own so I can sing a long with them :)

Here’s the best bit though, if you can wait a few days before buying it – it’s going to be the ‘MP3 Daily Deal’ on Amazon so you will be able to grab it for just $3.99 rather than the regular price it sells for which is $11.99! $3.99 for over 200 songs is cheap as chips and you’ll be sure to see some you recognise on the list no matter what your age is, I am 30 now and remember lots of them but there are also plenty that I have not seen before :)

I want to listen to ‘Come to the Zoo’ because I just went to Chester Zoo for the first time since I was a kid last week!

This offer will be valid on Easter Sunday (April 4th) only so make sure to add a reminder on your calendar or something like I do so that you don’t forget.

Going in for the kill

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of goviral. All opinions are 100% mine.

OK who’s heard the new song from Timmy Trendy? It’s fabulous darling, bang on trend!

What do you mean Timmy Trendy isn’t real? Don’t be daft, he is fashion darling.

Yeah ok ok I know he’s not really real, but shh, I love Scott Mills and the song is remarkably catchy for a spoof. They are usually pretty dismal.

Speaking of actual artists though, I came across a series of videos featuring La Roux of ‘Going in for the kill’ fame on Vodafone’s 360 site – they follow her as she is getting outfits planned and designed by Nova Dando. They discuss various options and settle on a gorgeous jazzy rainbow theme.

You can see one of the series of videos below, this one summarizes the rest of them basically and we get to see the final outfit that she performs in on the big night of the fashion show:

I will have to dig out La Roux’s album again now, I have not listened to it for a couple of months but really loved it – Tigerlily especially, I could listen to that until my ears drop off!

New Albums Ahoy

robbie-williams-with-abbaI have got a little behind on my new music recently and have several new albums I was waiting a long time for, still sitting unopened!

I am going to correct that over the next few days. Starting with my beloved Robbie Williams, moving on to Cheryl Cole, a bit of Alexandra Burke and Mika and then finishing off with Leona Lewis.

I love listening to a new album for the first time, there’s no feeling quite like it – hearing a song for the first time that goes on to be one of your all time favourites, awesome :)

Win Demi lovato tickets!

demi-lovato-mollywoodMy niece loves Demi Lovato, she has been totally obsessed with her since she saw her in Camp Rock — my niece loves all the Disney movies and young stars though — she watches them over and over and puts on shows for us singing all of their songs. Apparently she has a new album coming out sometime next month that she is super excited about, so we’ll no doubt be getting a new show from her as soon as she has learned all the words, smashing hehe.

I would love to win free demi lovato concert tickets for her so that she could actually go along and see her and sing a long in person, would I be the best Auntie in the world or what?

I can just imagine her face if I wrapped demi lovato tickets up for her and handed them to her, at first she’d be upset that I hadn’t got her something ‘big’, she likes ‘big’ gifts (not necessarily expensive, just big!), but then as she opened them and realised what they were she would be absolutely ecstatic and probably run around the house like a mad thing singing some of her songs :)

Fingers crossed I can get some!

Comeback Tours Galore!!

michael-jackson-2I listen to radio one during the day at work and all over the news today it has been about Michael Jacksons upcoming concerts, all 50 are completely sold out already — Crazy! They’ve been talking to people who queued up for hours and hours if not days to get their tickets! He sure has a lot of dedicated fans out there!

There are also the big upcoming U2 gigs that are getting a lot of attention, it’s a great time for us music fans! U2 tickets are expected to sell out just as fast as soon as they go on sale next week, so get yourself over to GetMeIn.com, a leading ticket marketplace, in order to try and make sure you get yours :)

King Of Pop

michael_jackson_bad_cd_cover_1987_cddaSo, the King Of Pop is back in business it seems — couldn’t believe my ears a few days ago when I heard he’s doing some comeback gigs, I honestly thought his days of performing were long since over.

Great news for his fans, and who isn’t an MJ fan? I had his best of album on pretty much constant reply a few months ago :)

I want Tickets to Michael Jackson gigs!

Are you going to try and get some Michael Jackson tickets? I think they are going to be pretty hard to get, even with so many available, he has a lot of very hardcore fans who will travel any where and every where to get to see him!

Signed by 4Music

danceLast night the fiance and I were up ridiculousy late, for reasons I am not sure I remember — and I discovered the wonders of ‘Signed Dancing’ on 4Music.

It’s music videos with people acting out the songs in sign language, but they aren’t just going through the motions, they aren’t stood still, oh no they are dancing the signing — really going for it and getting in to it, mouthing along to the words and jigging up and down.

It was a sight to behold at 6am and we were chuckling at it for ages before eventually tearing ourselves away to go to bed :)
