Christmas Telly!

I’ve spent the last few days catching up on the Christmas TV – I hardly had the telly on at all over Christmas and Boxing Day so had lots, given how tired out I have been the last few days I am glad that I saved it all up, it’s been nice lounging around in my new jimjams :)

There didn’t seem to be that much great stuff on this year though – the soaps were depressing as usual. Does Eastenders really need another “whodoneit” storyline? Gavin and Stacey wasn’t even a Christmas special. I didn’t enjoy The Royal Family. I was glad that Ali won the Strictly Come Dancing special but again didn’t really enjoy watching it. The Doctor Who special was OK but reminded me why I only really watch it cos it’s on and not because I am obsessed about it like a lot of people seem to be – it wasn’t a patch on that one with the scary water people!

TV Catchup Night

Tonight I am going to watch so much TV my head may just explode a little.

There’s been a lot on UK TV recently and I have had a lot of work on, plus I have spent a lot of my spare time when I would usually be watching my downloaded shows playing a stupid game I got hooked on called Plants Vs Zombies. So I have got very behind.

As you can see, it is much needed:

towatch

I plan to watch at least a Desperate Housewives, Launch My Line, Dollhouse, Scrubs and the finale of Top Chef season 1 that I started watching back in August!

To Watch List

I have a lot of TV to catch up on, somehow I have got very behind.

I think it comes with having gone from January and the start of February when there is literally bugger all on, to late February and early March when all the big shows start up again — usually with a two hour premiere!

Here’s the to watch list:

The Biggest Loser Australia television
Make Me a Supermodel USA 2
Project Runway Canada
24 x 2
American Dad
American Idol x 2
America’s Next Top Model x 2
Burn Notice x 2
Chuck
Desperate Housewives
Dollhouse
Hell’s Kitchen
Heroes x 3
Lost x 2
My Name is Earl
Reaper
Survivor

Crazy huh? It’s sort of funny to see so many episodes of Heroes and Lost up there, a few years ago I would sit at my computer literally watching them download so that I could play them the second they were done, now, meh…I just don’t care very much, I am not even sure why I still watch them at all — Heroes especially is dire now.

Dollhouse was…OK

dollhouseYeah, it was OK.

I am not sure it’s going to become one of my all time firm favourites but I am looking forward to seeing how it pans out.

I will admit that I was very slow on the uptake of ‘getting it’ a lot of times, it wasn’t until about half way through I understood the opening scenes and I still don’t understand the ending scenes where someone was watching a video of her surrounded by dead bodies. But that’s OK.

Like I say, looking forward to seeing how it pans out :)

Dollhouse

jossI am about to watch Dollhouse, the new Joss Wheadon Sci-Fi starring the delicious Eliza Dushku.

I love Eliza, I love Joss, I am not that keen on Sci-fi…but I can get over that enough to give it a chance at least.

I have high hopes and will report back once it’s watched.
