The Biggest Loser USA is back..and I am already concerned and wondering how many people will be reaching for the best diet pills at the end of the season.

I think in general the show is great and sends a good message. But it’s just unrealistic, it’s not healthy to lose weight as fast as they do and I am sure ‘normal’ people come away at the end having ‘only’ lost 20lbs compared to their 200lbs feeling miserable about themselves

The Biggest Loser Australia 4 – Episode # 61. Best. Episode. Ever.

Really, it had every thing. The bad guy getting their just desserts at long last. Emotion. Tension. A cliff hanger. An elimination. A weight gain. An update on my favourite eliminated contestant. A favourite going below the yelow line and a killer teaser about a mystery person set to shake up the game.

Gimme more, gimme more! I am so sad the series will be over in just two weeks time.

I actually felt sorry for Meaghan this episode. I am pleased she’s finally been eliminated and beyond please that the whole ’3 girls in the finale’ thing didn’t work out — I always knew Cam and Julie were mainly interested in getting them as far as possible, so it was nice to see that scuppered.

But oh man, that failure is going to be with her for life — on the back of ‘Face your Fears’ week, when they all…err…face their fears, start their new lifes, talk about how they can do anything now and nothing will hold them back ever again and Meaghan fails to face one of her fears in spectacular fashion, costing her own place in the game and nearly dragging her best friend down with her. That surely has to go down as one of her biggest ever life regrets, even if she lives to 100!

I did gain a little respect for her in that she was not going to let Sammy go home, and that she didn’t take the easy option and give Sean the Nothing Bracelet, she actually considered that he needed the money and Cameron didn’t.

In fact Tiffany was the one who lost a little respect as she stood there giving Meaghan the death stare in a ‘Give it to me and you are dead, bitch’ kind of way.

Back on Fitzroy Island, Bob ‘only’ loses 3kgs and is upset, then Nathan steps on the scale and the fat bastard gains 1.3kgs. Ooopsie. Sucks for you. Game over man. See you in the finale Bob

In other news…laters Sean…I know the producers are trying to indicate Cameron might go home, but I ain’t buying it. They have wanted rid of Sean since day one and the alliance has always stood strong before, that isn’t going to change now.

I am sad to see him go, he is the only contestant left that I really adore and thinks deserves to be there and to win. I wish there had been an immunity challenge this week, so at least he had that extra chance.

Oh well.

Ok so I suppose I should expand on my last post about The Biggest Loser USA a little, though I do believe my previously description of events sums it up.

I do wish that the producers would be more consistent with the immunity rules though, they seem to pick and choose when the rule that you lose immunity if you gain applies or not — if it suits them it applies, if not it doesn’t. Typical TV show production I guess, but it’s annoying.

I definitely feel sorry for Nicole, she achieved amazing things on the outside and was then brought back into the cesspool of negativity, whining and drama that this season has become. It’s no wonder she gained weight, going from her happy and loving home environment into that.

Tara was once again exposed as a self obsessed brat.

“I am number one on the leader board”, “She’s behind me”, “Don’t get sucked into the drama Nicole, stick with me, we can push each other”, “It’s great that Nicole is here, that will really make me up my game!” — annnd “I vote to eliminate Nicole because she’s a threat”.

Nice one Tara.

Laura, luckiest contestant ever? She gained weight but did not fall below the line — three people gained weight this week, that’s bad man, has that ever happened before?

And finally, Ron really needs to get over this idea that the others owe him and/or his son anything. It’s an attitude he’s had throughout but it’s really wearing thin now — every one works hard and deserves to be there, get over yourself mate.

I wish that I had some thrilling blog posts full of my usual sparkling wit and intelligence to share with you today, but unfortunately I have not watched much television this week due to being out of action since Monday with a blasted migraine — I am having Biggest Loser withdrawals, I had planned to do some web design and development on one of my other sites, I had free tickets to see ‘The Boat That Rocked’ in the cinema, but all plans have fallen by the wayside thanks to this silly old unfunctioning head of mine.

The free cinema tickets were for the posh cinema as well, the one with the fancy seats and plush carpets, the one that we never go to when we are paying because it costs twice as much. Drats!

Thankfully they tend to only last a few days, so by tomorrow I will be back to my usual TV watching – web designing – sparkling witted self.

If not however I am going to have to convince my fiance to watch The Biggest Loser with me and describe everything that is happening, he’ll have to be my eyes.

I will also have to do some searching to find website design in the UK, I need to get done what I need to get done — I have deadlines and plans and a structure to follow and I am already now two days behind schedule, aside from the design I have all of the actual content to work on and I want that to be tip top as content in king when it comes to trying to kick off and establish a new website.

Migraines, such an annoyance.

That’s what it feels like any way, how long has this season been going on exactly?

Watching the opening titles a lot of the situations and teams seem like forever ago to me, the orange team, the red team, those black boys and all that drama with the silver bullets — wow.

I am starting to wonder if Tara is perhaps a little bit on the slow side? And by slow I mean — stupid.

All that whingeing and moaning about being ganged up on, being picked on, being bullied, oh how unfair that every one wants to target her.

She’s the current biggest loser, she has been losing weight like a machine, she smokes every one in the challenges. She’s strong.

Does she really expect people to just roll over and let her take every thing? Does she really not understand that they want to win also?
Does she really expect them to just hand her the title?

She proved to them they were right in doing what they did by going on to win the challenge despite the deficit, that’s why they are all ‘picking on you’, well that and the fact you are incredible annoying, arrogant and wouldn’t know how to be humble if your life depended on it.

Of course they are going to try and make it as hard as possible for you, you silly sausage, get over it woman.

In other news, I am rooting for Kristen for the win — I think she can do it

I am not Amanda’s biggest fan, I have said before that she’s too much of a drama queen for me — but I was surprised and disappointed to see her go home tonight.

What were red thinking?

Well, I know what Nathan — the puppet master was thinking, he has Cam and Sam on a leash and by keeping the three of them together he can now pick off Meaghan and Sherif should they lose more weigh ins while still in teams, which they surely will now with their biggest female gone and weak minded Cameron tagging a long.

But why didn’t Meaghan and Sherif see that? They have handed all the power to Nathan now, on a plate. They needed to do any thing they could to keep the power — and with the Nothing Bracelet in her possession Meaghan could have at least fought, she could have told Nathan if he voted out Amanda he was getting the bracelet, she could have told Cam unless he fell on his sword she was giving Sammy the bracelet, she could have let it go to a hung vote and told blue that they’d better vote off Cameron or else. Any thing, any thing was worth a try instead of just rolling over and dying.

Bah

I love The Biggest Loser, as you know, since I blog about it — well, constantly.

But I sometimes wonder about the message it sends, I think overall it’s a great message — get up off your behind and do something — but it also worries me that the speed they lose weight makes others who are doing it the normal way feel bad.

I have lost 70lbs in 2 years, it takes Biggest Loser contestants 2 months to do the same. I just wonder how many people it makes go running for the diet pills, NO2 Black, supplements, metabolism boosters and god knows what else!

Nathan continues to irk me, and every other viewer watching I am sure — his brother Andrew continues to fade into the background and come across more and more like a mindless drone as the days go by.

The Dark Blue girls and the Yellow girls fall below the yellow line, who’s going to go home?

Well, the Yellow girls — because they quit.

They stacked a ton of tuna and won $10k and a few days later decided they had had enough and it was time for them to go home to their ‘men’. I use the word men like that not because I don’t believe they are men, but because it just seems a little strange that an 18 year old and 20 year old be so dependant on and defined by their need to be with their men.

I don’t respect their decision, but I can’t help but love a bit of Holly. On revealing the news Nathan rolled his eyes, wobbled his head and went into a tirade about ‘…all the people who would have loved to have made it on the show…’ and she just outright shot him down, right then right there, and pointed out the only reason he was mad was because it messed up his game plan.

Gotta love the bollox on that girl.

But quitting, what ever would Emazon say?!

They both looked killer in their 2 month on segment though, so mad credit to them.

Wow they actually went there, they voted off the Purple team.

Season 4 The Biggest Loser Australia, the year of the game players.

I have to say I didn’t think they’d send Purple home, they all seem so hardcore in love with her and I didn’t think the producers would want her to go so early.

She really did need to be there, I think she only lost a few KG in the 2 months she has had at home??

I very much doubt that they are actually going to eliminate the person who gets the most votes, notice how Ajay never actually said they’d be eliminated? Just that they needed to vote for who they wanted to be eliminated, hmmm, sneaky — I bet the team with the most votes gets an advantage, or maybe are given a challenge to determine if they get to stay!

Also, cage fighting? Scary new female trainer? What what?!
