…now that we are back to normal and the team that should not be named are gone. We’re back to normal editing and normal pace and it’s more like the show I know and love.
It’s still less than perfect though as we still missed out on two weeks worth of the show. They have been there for a month now, a month and we’ve only seen 5 episodes.
I usually love and adore certain contestants by now, I usually loathe some also – at this stage I still don’t even know most of their names, I don’t know who’s on which training team even.
We can never get those two weeks back

I find the red and green teams equally as unlikable, green have a real attitude problem – that’s clear to see. I was amused at them throwing their toys out of the pram and basically blaming the red team for them falling under the line – would it have killed them to take the 2 seconds required to do the maths to realise they were under the line regardless of the 2lb penalty. Could have saved themselves from looking even more daft than they already did.

Bob and Jillian annoy me more and more each episode. I think it’s safe to say my days of hero worshipping them are long gone.
They get far too involved in the drama and just seem to be being fake and acting the whole time.
Now don’t get me wrong that woman on the red team is annoying, every time she does a piece to camera I want to turn over, she seems like the sort of woman that you’d see coming towards you and groan and instantly start thinking about your escape strategy – she’s just so brash. But the whole “How dare you doubt us, we know everything” nonsense from Bob and Jill after she weighed in was ridiculous – no Boblian, you might know a lot but you don’t know everything. How many times have we had shots of them, hands on head, mouths wide open saying “I don’t know how that happened” after someone has weighed in? Either when they had done an amazing result or when they had done a poor one – there has been many times Bob and Jillian didn’t understand a result so they need to stfu!

Speaking of dieting and the like – how about 4 months away with two of the best trainers in the world instead of fast weight loss pills – you can’t really get any better than that.
Yup that’s right, my favourite TV show ever is coming back in less than two weeks time. The Biggest Loser Australia season five kicks off on Janurary 31st and I can not wait.
I will miss Ajay though.

I just got around to watching the second episode of The Biggest Loser, it takes me about a week to download anything at the moment because my ISP is throttling p2p traffic – it’s a total pain but I can’t get away as I am still within my 12 month contract.
Note to anyone reading, never go on o2 access!
So two main observations.
* Why would any one ever turn to weight loss pills after seeing what can be achieved on these shows? One dude has lost almost 50 pounds in 2 weeks – are you serious?
* Bob and Jillian should never consider acting, the segment where Bob had on the White team guys weight and the one where poor Jillian was forced to eat processed food – some of the most cringe-worthy moments on TV, ever!
Roll on episode 3

…a new season of The Biggest Loser USA, already? really?
Each season when we meet the new crop I say the same thing – these people are too big, each season has to outdo the last and it’s already at a ridiculous level – I dread to think how it’s going to be by season 19. The lightest person will weigh 500lbs.
I have to say I like the couples format as it means more contestants for us to meet. I was duped by the first challenge as well which is rare, when Ali announced the 2 people to complete the slowest would go home I thought; “nah, no way..they’ll be sent off to train with a ‘The Commando’ or something” – so when it actually looked like they were going home, doing their leaving interview to camera, getting in the limos – I was shocked. I believed they were going home, but then of course out popped Bob and Jillian to announce the twist
I was surprised at who went home also, I feel the producers probably didn’t expect the ‘Half ton twins’ to be the first out, they must have spent a long time trying to find them and given the edit they got in the first episode I thought they were in for the long haul.
I will continue to watch, I can’t help myself, but I think it’s safe to say my love affair with this show is over. It’s just gone too far now.

I’ve had a busy old week this week so have not had time to wax lyrical about my favourite shows – though of course I have still found time to watch them.
So Danny won The Biggest Loser, I thought Rudy had it in the bag so good on him – interestingly though according to his BMI he’s still in the overweight category (just) – in fact all of them except for Tracey and Rebecca are!
Ally was voted out of Strictly Come Dancing which makes me sad, I have not been that into this series but I thought she was lovely and for a few weeks at least she’s been the only one still in it that has kept me watching. I really don’t see the appeal of Chris – I find Ricky dull but at least understand he can dance well, Chris is dull and dances poorly – their popularity confuses me. I probably wont watch the final.
Joe won The X Factor, very predictable. I fear he’s going to be another Leon/Steve/Shayne – notice a pattern there? All guys who sing mainly ballads. There’s no doubt Joe can sing and is a nice guy but there’s nothing special or interesting or unique about him – I suspect he’ll have a couple of big hits, a semi decent first album and then we’ll never hear from him again!

Have you ever wondered what the top rated diet pills are? I have always said that I don’t really think diet pills are the right way to go, shows like The Biggest Loser prove it can be done without them – but if you are going to use them you are better off knowing which ones to spend your money on. So be sure to do your research first people

I am just working my way through The Biggest Loser finale that aired on Tuesday night and have got as far as seeing who won the at home prize – I really didn’t want Rebecca to win it, as I mentioned before I didn’t like her too much.
As she proved by winning it she was clearly extremely competitive, one of the most competitive there – yet whenever anyone else made a move to further themselves and not her she’d throw her toys out of the pram about it. I thought she had an awful attitude.
Still can’t take away from what she achieved, sans the haircut that ages her 20 years she is looking smoooookin’
Another surprise was Shay basically being handed $100k for no reason, I didn’t dislike Shay in any way, I just don’t see why the fact she was the heaviest ever should entitle her to this special treatment.
Now, let’s see who wins it – I think I am rooting for Rudy.
