No, not the team who were eliminated from The Amazing Race last week after making the daftest decision ever – me and my fiance. We’re going on three seperate trips in the next 2 months.
Where are we headed, any where exciting? Have I got us some outer banks vacation rentals?
Nope.
We are going to Wakefield, Liverpool and Newcastle – so OK that hardly qualifies us as globetrotters but heck it’s all adventure isn’t it

Happy days, oh happy days.
I just booked a short break to Liverpool for December, Christmas shopping here I come. The best part, it cost £1 – yes £1! Free parking, free wifi access and a 10 minute walk from the town center.
Of course I would prefer to stay in some gorgeous vacation rental homes in exotic locations like Fiji or Jamaica – but there’s a slight difference in price, £1 and a 20 mile drive up the motorway to Liverpool vs £100s on accomodation and flights to Jamaica.
Bit of a no brainer really isn’t it?
Now I just have to hope I didn’t book for an important TV date, knowing me and my luck it’s probably the weekend of The X Factor finale!

I hate travel programs, I need to stop watching them because they make me jealous. Grr.
I was just searching around for cheap Myrtle Beach hotels thanks to having seen an episode of “A place in the sun” this afternoon. I want to go to a place in the sun, I want to swim in an infinitely pool, I want to lounge around with a cocktail in my hand.
Sigh.

Someone just asked me to look on the Accor Hotels website and pick my dream vacation – I then went into a big fantasy in mt head where I chose my favourite, they waved a magic wand and made my dream come true, but actually they were just curious because they are planning a vacation.
Sigh, my dreams are dashed.
Still, it was nice to take a look at what they have to offer and dream away. I have mentioned before that I am desperate to get away somewhere exotic on vacation but money is too tight for this summer, so this is not the first time I have made a ‘dummy’ dream vacation plan
An Accor Hotels City Super Sale is currently running where you can get savings of up to 60% for stays between July and September. I would love to go to Australia, it has always been my dream and some of the prices they have really are killer. I would happily go to any city if I could, but ideally I would love to go to Sydney and do all the typical touristy stuff like climbing the Sydney harbour bridge like they seem to do in every season of The Biggest Loser Australia

So we have decided we are definitely going to go stay in one of the gorgeous Myrtle Beach Hotels in 2010, I managed to sell my husband to be on it quite easily after showing him the little research I did and some photographs of some of the gorgeous Myrtle Beach Accomodation available in our price range.
Like me he’s now just gutted that we can’t go there right away and will have to be patient and wait until our next vacation.
We just need to decided now what sort of Myrtle Beach Accomodations to stay in, we are always at odds when it comes to this as I prefer to go self catering, renting an apartment or something — but he likes to go to a hotel.
We’ll see, there’s no rush to decide now

…I love you, I wish we could spend more time together.
Seriously it feels like a lifetime since I was last away on vacation, and it was last June so that is what…a whopping ten months now, that’s too long for any one to go without a break, right?
I would love to get an apartment rental Rome for me and the fella like the ones on VacationRentalRome.com, somewhere quiet and picturesque, but close enough to action that we could venture out if we wanted to. I would love a vacation with a combination of relaxing — long nights in front of the fire and long lie ins in luxurious surroundings — and action — long days out hiking or throwing myself off buildings etc. That is my kinda vacation
It feels like even longer since I went abroad, and that’s because it is, a heck of a lot longer — for the last ten years I have been no further than Wales here in the UK because my darling husband to be refuses to go on a plane and I don’t really have any friends I would want to go with, all of my friends are either married so I would be the 3rd wheel, or single and bit time into clubbing and meeting guys — neither of which sounds like my kinda holiday!

I am headed away in a few weeks to spend some time with my husband to be’s family, always lovely to spend time with them — but I also miss my telly while I am gone. I can still watch my UK shows, but can’t get a hold of the numerous other ones from around the world I watch — American, Canadian, New Zealand and Australian to name but a few.
I need to get new luggage before I go, I got my last case on the cheap thinking I had got myself a killer bargain but I would have been better off spending on some quality designer luggage as it has pretty much fallen to pieces within about four uses, oh dear.
So looks like I am headed to the luggage store on Monday with my credit card ready for action

Every week after watching shipwrecked it makes me want to hop straight online and start looking up travel deals so that I can go be somewhere sunny and tropical and gorgeous too, they make me so jealous.
If they didn’t have a cut of age of 25 I would so apply to go on that show myself. The idea of taking several weeks out of work to go on a free holiday to somewhere gorgeous with 20+ friends just makes me salivate.
Especially as when I look out of my window today I see nothing but snow, the same view I have had for over a week now. I love the snow, don’t get me wrong, but I love the sun also

I don’t think I have seen any sunshine her in the UK for about, hmm, 3 months at least! It is proving to be a very cold, rainy, dark and long winter so far!
What I wouldn’t give to be able to head over the pond for a Marco Island Florida Vacation. I’d love to spend a few weeks in a little rented cottage in sunny Florida — I always prefer self catering places to hotels and the like because I like the sense of freedom of just being left alone, though there are many more advantages including the fact that you can usually rent much bigger places for the same cost as a tiny hotel room.
