What a bunch of losers!

I think that the current American Biggest Loser is my least favourite ever, in fact yes, yes it absolutely is.

This week just cemented it for me. What an absolutely awful bunch of people — Heba? Vicky? Come back, all is forgiven.

Ok not quite, but at least those guys were playing the roll of the bad guys, this current lot really are just…bad.

What a bunch of whiney, whingey, moaning, depressing, negative, uninspiring people they are. If ever a whole seasons worth of contestants is going to gain the weight back it’s this lot, it seems like they just don’t get it at all — none of them struggled with the temptation, it was just shovel it down as fast as possible and for what? The power to cast the soul vote? WhoopDeDoo. If they were playing for a golden ticket to the finale I would have got it, but the prize was actually shit and they trowelled that food down as fast as their little hands would let them.

Kristen was the only one not gorgeing, but was that because it was wrong? Against every thing they’d learned? A bad example? No, it was simply strategy, part of her game plan — speaking of, I was counting the use of the word ‘game’ this episode, and gave up after number 50!

They’ll all be fat again within two years. Fact.

sione-faAlso, Sione becoming a personal trainer — I am not OK with that. It’s nothing personal, I think it’s great he wants to motivate and help others in that way, I just don’t think that several months on the Biggest Loser ranch qualifies someone for that position. Seriously, he’s been overweight his whole life and healthy for a few months — he got healthy in a very extreme and unrealistic environment — he needs at least a few years with the weight off, some training for himself by other trainers and some serious eduction first.

The Biggest Loser Premiere

The Biggest LoserI finally got around to watching the new season of The Biggest Loser USA kick off over the weekend.

I have to say I almost turned it off right at the beginning when Bob and Jill were doing their little piece to camera, angry Bob and Jill telling you to get off your arse and do something and to look at the state of America — no thanks. I take the inspiration from the show off my own back, I don’t need it shoving down my throat.

As for the contestants, hard to say what they are going to be like this early on but there’s no one who instantly stands out to me as one to watch — I had both Vicky and Heba pegged as the bitches of the season within the first episode last season.

Now, I have watched a lot of reality TV…and I mean a lot…and I am usually immune to the cruelty of a lot of the twists and turns these games throw at people. But even I thought that sending one of the pair home after the very first week was too much — I mean really, they applied to be on the show together and those poor people who thought they were in the game only to find out they aren’t? Aww, poor sausages.

Bad TBL producers, bad.

Biggest Loser Crowned

I am happy to be proven wrong in what I said in my last post about The Biggest Loser — Ed/Heba were not certs for the win and America does seem to share that same sick sense of humour us Brits do as evidenced in the fact they voted Heba out. Ed really could have won it though — you could see he still had a little weight to lose, I feel if he’d tried a bit harder he would have had it!

The finale really wasn’t that interesting though. It pains me Heba won the at home prize — though the up side of that being if America has voted her into the final three, she would have won the lot, I was really rooting for Amy and there was absolutely no mention of the despicable way Vicky, Brady, Ed and Heba acted throughout the show…it’s as though the producers thought if they didn’t revisit any of that nastiness we’d just forget it ever happened.

Thankfully people have longer memories.

And is it just me or was there a certain amount of karma at stake when both Heba and Vikcy very nearly fell flat on their arses during their big ‘look at me’ moment, hmm ;)

That said congratulations to them all, I am glad Michelle won the main prize and roll on season 7!

Vicky the Game Player

You know, if one more person calls Vicky from this seasons Biggest Loser USA ‘The Gameplayer’ I might just go insane.

The host, Bob, the voice over, the other contestants.

That moniker is far too good for her, she has proved on at least two or three occasions now that she is not a good game player, she’s voted to keep in her biggest threat because of blue team/her alliance loyalty. That is not good game playing. In the last episode she all but handed Ed/Heba the win.

Her actions throughout the game are because she’s just a nasty, spiteful person. End of.

I can’t wait for the finale…oh…oh no wait, I am lying about that. Three of the most unlikable contestants in the shows history have made it to the finale — what’s going to be fun about that? I don’t care about their journeys, I don’t cheer for their successes, I don’t want any of them to win the million dollar Jello prize and no amount of attempted redemptive editing is going to change that.

I’d be amazed if the finale few episodes of this season aren’t the lowest rated episodes ever.

The Biggest Loser – Team Vile 1 – Team Nice 1

Team Vile 1 – Team Nice 1

The latest episode of The Biggest Loser USA ended in a draw, with Ed returning (or The husband of ‘The world revolves around me’ Heba, as he’s better known in this household) scoring a point for Team Vile…and Amy deciding to vote off Brady scoring a point for Team Nice.

I didn’t think it’d happen to be honest, I have seen enough reality tv show vote offs to know that when it seems like it’s a forgone conclusion, they will edit the heck out of everything to make it seem like there’s a chance it’ll go the other way, but it never does.

Kudos to the editors.

I have disliked Heba from the start, she’s so up her own backside it’s unbelievable — there’s nothing worse than a bitchy little girl who loves to point out and pick at others flaws, but cannot see her own. As for Vicky, she seemed nice enough and then all of a sudden *bam* out comes Vile Vicky, one of the most unpleasant TBL contestants ever — now don’t get me wrong, I don’t care that she’s trying to play the game, I don’t care that she’s in it for the money more than the weight loss — but she’s a genuinely unpleasant woman.

Doing a little dance and happy clap in front of a team who just had to vote someone out? Who does that? No class. at all.

I think the best word to describe that little alliance, is simply Highschool — it really says every thing that needs to be said doesn’t it.

I hope that the black team do a similar little dance that they voted off Brady, let’s see how they like that. *

Roll on next week. The fallout should be spectacular. I only hope that Bob doesn’t freak out on Amy, her game, her life, her choice Bob!

* actually I hope they don’t, and I know they won’t…but it’d be well deserved if they did.
